Cardinal Logistics Charlotte, NC

I am trying to hire on with Cardinal Logistics at another location in NC. Three drivers from my former company have hired on with them in the past 3 or 4 months and they love it. I also spoke with another one of their drivers today and he said he planned to stay there till he retired. Again, I don't work with them yet but it looks good and sounds good. I really hope and pray that they will hire me.

 

I have been with them for 9 months running regional out of kansas city and really like it here

 

How are the benefits with cardinal?

 

I was looking into them a few years ago. My father and I built a 20'x20' garage on my property and we ordered all the lumber from The Home Depot. The Cardinal driver who delivered our materials said it was a really good company and The Home Depot account was great. Normal hours, fair pay, and really good benefits. Some Saturdays a rare Sunday but always home by 5 or 6.

I called and they said they were fully staffed at all the stores within driving distance of my house, but to call them back periodically. Ended up pulling tanks and am 100% content doing this but defiantly would look into them in the future.

 

Benefits are pretty decent, medical dental vision 401k all that stuff

 

Do they have any auto trans trucks?

 

All we have now where i am are manuals but the company news letter we got not long ago said that as they start replacing some of the fleet over the next year they will be purchasing aome autos

 

How is the home time on regional and do you have to drive back and forth to charlotte for home time

 

We have a lot of dedicated accounts so home time varies... they regional run i make i am home 4 nights a week and we keep our trucks at the location of the account which for me is 11 miles from my house here in Kansas City
