I have a felony in Arkansas for Theft of public benefits, Unemployment.. it was in 2011 first time I've ever been in any trouble I've gotten my record expunged and I've not been in any trouble since this, I recently applied for Hazmat and I'm worried about the felony disqualifying me. If anyone could give me some answers or opinions on what I should or could do I'd appreciate it

DAC violations show a life time ban for Felons.

With that said, Ive gotten pretty free with a opinion that those who served out the sentances should have some ability to earn a living. But Society does not agree.

Keep working at things you know already rather than hammering at something which wont take you. Good luck.

The following are examples of items that might keep a company from contacting you for employment:

1 or more felonies in your lifetime
    A drug related felony conviction
10 years or older felony conviction
    Child pornography related conviction
    Convicted of a violent crime
    Firearm related conviction
Murder / Rape / Misconduct / Burglary / Robbery / Capital Theft conviction
    Assault & Battery
Conviction/ investigated / or suspected of involvement in of terrorist activities
    Currently on probation or parole
More than $5,000 of damage from a preventable accident in last 5 years
3 or more moving violations in last 3 yrs
3 or more preventable accidents in last 5 years
Truck abandonment in last 5 years
License suspension is less than 3 years old
1 or more moving violations over 15 mph in last 3 years
A DUI/DWI within the last 5 years or more than 2 DUI/DWIs ever.
Fired in the last 5 years
    Ever failed a drug screen

I"m not seeing the Fired in the last 5 years thing. And $5,000 in accident damages can easily be topped.

Theft of unemployment benefits and a felony. That's pretty harsh. How does Arkansas do that???

In utah. You pay double the amount back. And if it's not immediately. There's a judgement on your credit profile and wages are garnished. Mine was 1 weeks pay. And paid for long before judgement got listed on my credit. 6 more months and it'll be gone from equifax. The ONLY agency who refused the court order to remove it.

Arkansas has good people. And the bad.

We have in our local area captured thieves who stole money while working retail gas station cashier jobs. The last one captured and tried in our courts was a younger female who embezzled 10,500 from her gas station employer in addition to possibly also diverting credit card numbers and some cash from customers. The Courts convicted her and sent her to 5 years plus resitution and fines which approach double what she stole. That was one of 6 thieves detected and caught in our immediate area within the last 3 years.

One thief was very creative, it took a time to catch this one. She added a few cents or dollars to customer bank loan repayment monthly across the board in the bank. Eventually she stood to have very large figures embezzled this way. They caught her when enough large customers started inquiring about the differences in the current payments. This person was a loan officer with authority to do it. I believe our area is still talking about this one.

I cannot imagine that these convicts will have much of a life when the system gets through with them.

Unemployment benefits are not paid much. Relatively few get it. They don't understand they have to stay working long enough to gross 3400 dollars and then be let go without cause or reason to be fired with cause. And they cannot just quit and get UE Bennies either. We are not that state.

There is a DHS presence in our state to accomodate illegals and migrants especially with children. They stand to rake in so much money as to not have to work at all. I had a encounter with a few in the local one when arranging for a medical situation a few years ago. I got a fast education while waiting talking and listening to these people talking about how much they are raking in per kid. Then I got angry. But to go on about this is beyond the scope of this thread.

A felony for taking your own money. What a ####ed up country we live in. Millions of lazy ##### can sit around and collect my money but I'm going to get a charge if I take my own money. Stop this world. I want to get off

Ill be quite honest, if your record is expunged, it should only show that there was a charge removed and it should not hold any value against you. A felony expunged from your record should put you back to normal my friend!

You can still get your TWIC even if you have a felony. There are certain convictions and time limits but it's not impossible.
