That would definitely do the trick, but his own CSA score is going to take a beating in the process.

To your boyfriend; Get a new driving job, call owner and ask him where he wants the truck. Don't give him no weeks notice , hometime and clean the truck out, turn truck n keys in. Video the location and the entire truck inside and out including all safety areas of the truck. Don't stay driving for this fool your going to end up in jail and possible kill someone with that truck, if you cant do home time, find a way, because its going to be much more costlier to keep driving that truck. There is much better safer places to work.

Funny one night in Arkansas a deer tried to jump through my trailer. I stopped to check it out and he didn't make it. He was plastered on my trailer which was full and the cargo was fine.

    Where to begin.......................

@ATruckersGirlfriend I see you love your boyfriend and are bound by that love to believe everything he is telling you. Most of which may have some truths but if he's still working there under those conditions there's more to the story. There are three sides to EVERY story, his, theirs and somewhere in the middle of those two lye the third and far most important, the truth. Could be leaning a lot more towards your boyfriends side of the scale or more towards the carriers side but in the end your getting his side dressed with passion.

The whole $1000 story is what has me saying "something smells funny" and not because of the dead deer involved. Some of the other points, yes I can see carriers doing that to drivers and as long as he keeps doing it they will keep doing it. He may have done it for too long to now make a stand and get the problems corrected. The standard has been set. However the whole $1k thing, I don't know your boyfriend, you or the carrier but there's a whole hell of a lot missing to that story. The first that comes to mind having 28 years experience in this industry is that he took advances, didn't watch his advances and expenditures then the paycheck came home $1000 less than he told you it would be and now all of the sudden it's time to cover up for bad money management. It happens, it happens to the best people in the world and the worst but it's nothing to be lying about. Suck it up buttercup, admit to your girlfriend that you blew the rent money, learn from it and grow. Keep hiding it with lies and before long he'll be homeless, single and in deep debt, and if he keeps driving for this outfit, unemployable because his PSP score looks like me trying to play 18 holes at Augusta.

"Here are some of the things he asks my BF to do:
    - fudge log books and drive excessive hours
    - drive with unsafe equipment, brakes are rigged, tires need replacing etc.
    - had him drive several days to a mechanic who tampered with the emission system so that the truck would run.
    - Withheld $1000 from his check b/c he hit a deer and the cargo was damaged. When he reported the accident to his boss, his boss told him not to say anything about the deer and blame it on whoever loaded the truck!"

Cindy, I understand your concerns. A few questions: You mention his boss "asks" your BF and your third line states "HAD HIM"..... If your BF's boss asked him to run a person over would he actually do it? Just because someone "asks" you to do something doesn't mean you should actually DO it.

Your BF's boss requests seem unreasonable since there are several governmental agencies that monitor highway safety and several private agencies that incorporate financial risks associated with how safe a tractor trailer operates. Do you think your BF's boss is involved in taking outrageous risks?

If your BF actually went through and performed any unsafe acts of illegally operating a tractor trailer then your BF should be taken off the road and educated how to safely drive.

As far as his employer (meaning he's not an owner operator) taking or withholding money from his paycheck, that is illegal, unless he signed an agreement he would be held personally responsible for any damages to equipment or freight; you should file a theft report with the local police or sheriff's department if he has proof the theft actually happened.
Is your BF a felon who recently was released from prison and this is the only job his PO could land him....to run for an outlaw outfit who lies cheats and steals? If this is the case he's better off in prison!

Reminds me of the movie called Black Dog. Sounds like this situation. Next thing you know, they will be wanting your BF to run a load of illegal weapons from Atlanta to Jersey. If thats not bad enough, he will be pulling a container with chicken lights on it !!!!

Seriously though, Tell him to JUST SAY NO! Hes gonna wined up destroying his MVR and CSA with these clowns. Then when they go belly up, the only thing hes gonna be hauling is his arse to the bread line. He will have a rough time getting hired anywhere.
