I dont think trucks should have inside cams except in trainer trucks. They definately should have them and also trainers should not be allowed to "team" with students. Cant train when your sleeping!!!!!

Its the carriers fault for assigning team loads.Once the trainee feels comfortable then its full force.Trainers shouldn't drive at all unless it becomes a situation but try telling companies that. They could care less, they're in business to make money not care what drivers and trainees think.

    Is this thread serious?

All you Prime guys type this in your Qcomm "The day dual cams get put in my truck I will give my two weeks notice".

yes this is serious, it was brought to my attention by a Prime driver who sat in one of those meetings (i think its Friday Morning)

and most company drivers will not leave their job, but accept it and not only accept it but demand other drivers do it, to prove they are driving legal and safely

    blairandgretchen and mje Thank this.

I realize that you were being humorous with this comment. Realistically speaking, this could potentially be grounds for outright termination.

I work retail. I CONSTANTLY have cameras watching over me, mainly because I do handle money on a near daily basis. The cameras can both hang you or exonerate you, depending on what activities or procedures you as an employee are abiding by.

It does take some getting used to always having cameras watching your every move. Both SADLY and UNFORTUNATELY, bad apples at every job site has caused this to happen.

BELIEVE IT OR NOT, years ago this was one of the reasons I thought about becoming a truck driver, to AVOID constantly being watched by cameras or security personnel. For many years, there was that degree of independence, even with all the logs, rules, and regulations that accompany the truck driving business. It looks as though NOBODY is exempt from it anymore.

TransAm already has them. Only records and sends video if there is a detectible incident. And then then the vidoe is sent to a 3rd party for review and only given to the trucking company of a violation occurred.
