There is nothing about a felony or even a misdemeanor that anyone wold get a kick out of,ESPECIALLY the recipient of such an award.DNA evidence has proven innocent people INNOCENT,but only after spending 30 years of their life warehoused away.I know drivers that get another driving job after having had a dirty UA,and even a driver that got a job after 2 stretches for drugs and a parole violation.ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE! My Grandad used to tell me "Where there is a will, there IS a way".

ok, since you might not be a fly by poster, i will pick apart your posts and try my best to get to the bottom of your post as well as one other respondent..and by the way, i ain't no "candy-man" that sugar coats anything for the sake of avoiding embarrassing you..
and i'll add to that right now, if you were told BY YOUR STATE, from ANY of the above mentioned divisions i asked you about, then you are SCREWED, as YOUR STATE IS PREVENTING YOU FROM OBTAINING YOUR CDL.....what on earth can anyone do for you...?? i mean seriously, this thread of yours IS A JOKE, ESPECIALLY IF YOUR STATE FORBIDS YOU FROM GETTING BACK YOUR LICENSE....SO JUST DROP IT AND MOVE ON...., YOU'RE TOAST....
there are at the very least 2 ways of looking at this thread..
1) someone just came here to get people "worked up", which DOES HAPPEN from time to time
or
2 ) it's a legitimate thread, but one that is also typical of some of life's losers that want things they simply DO NOT DESERVE or HAD ANY RESPECT, WHEN THEY HAD IT THE FIRST TIME....Last edited: Jun 10, 2011

"Caught a felony"

Hello All,
I would like to ask if it is possible for an ex-driver to re-obtain a Commercial Drivers License after being convicted of a felony? I do have 4 years of experience in trucking prior to getting a felony, it was not in a commercial vehicle or in a personal vehicle, a non drug related and alcohol related felony.
I was pretty much convicted of "aggrivated battery", which was reduced to a "simple battery" charge. If anyone is wondering, i did not beat the other person up, i was stressed out from losing my last job and also in a financial bind, not knowing where my next job was going to come from, was jobless for about 5 weeks up to getting this felony. 5 more weeks past before i started getting some job interviews. Yes, i do feel crappy for what i did, i am currently out on probation. All i want to do is to "prove" to these employers that i am NOT a bad person, i admit that i made a mistake and its haughting me, both job and financially. I did some research on my end and noticed that some trucking outfits require the felony to be a minimum of 5 years old. I am also wanting to ask if any of those trucking outfits would train me into obtaining a temporary CDL away from my home state? -
why do you feel the need to start a whole new thread about your situation..?? just go back and find your other thread and go from there..
remember this one from you..???

Ignore the idiot responses man. Yes you can obtain your CDL but your job chances are gonna be slim to none. Now if you can prove you had a CDL and drove for the dates, you could possibly get insured providing you get your CDL-A. I got this from an insurance gal.
Now dont get me wrong, I have sympathy for you but wont if you commit the same crime again. Search for an employer (preferably an o/o as all big ones prefer 5 or 10yrs old ) whos willing to hire you on as an apprentice. Yes you wont make money but you will prove yourself to him or hell pay you a certain training pay. Now all depends on whether you can prove to the insurance company A) you have the experience with references included and B) your previous CDL record with the certificates from the begining and records associated with the cdl when you had it.
If it helps, check locally. I got myself a sweet little part time job working the shop and doing deliveries. Just explain it out and something good will happen. Things like this take time. Even if you flip burgers at McD's look for that trucking job.

I guess it really narrows down to.......
WHO told you you have to wait 7 years ?????
You do have a current regular drivers license, right ?
and that previous experience doesn't mean squat, you'll just have to start from scratch !!
