I've heard the same and read it many more times. However stop and think about that... Would that be the same as saying tires rolling on the pavement causes them to wear faster, so you shouldn't do that?

what dmv test can u past without double clutching? being a truck driver not knowing to dbl clutch is a very good idea....

They did allow floating in my dmv road test in rancho san diego cdl test site.... When i took my test i asked if floating was allowed cause even though i can double clutch , i seldom use that method.....
Some examiners have their cdl and understand what real world is about..... -
I have only been driving for two years... But I have never been given a tip for clutching.

That is interesting to know.....I was not aware of any examiners allowing floating the gears. None of our examiners have their cdl nor have driven a truck. I had not thought about working as an examiner until I read your post.....mine be another job opportunity for me, as my shoulder bothers me too much to drive a manual shift truck. -
