What's up guys? I'm Tj. I am currently 3 weeks into my CDL school and loving every minute. There are so many recruiters that come in its hard to keep track to pick the best one. The only problem I am running into is an excessive speeding ticket from early 2012 on a motorcycle. Even with that I still have a few Good companies.... And a few bad ones to choose from. Any advice would be great. I'm wanting regional flatbed or tanker. Maybe I would consider box if it paid well.
    Turned me down for ticket:
    Schneider
    TMC
Places I got approved for but do not want:
    Werner
    Stevens

Now it leaves me with the three companies I am still interested in and have approved me:
    Roehl
Averitt (still waiting but recruiter said its OK)
    BST

Any word on those companies? Either good or bad? I'm ready to get on the road! Thanks guys! Be safe out there.

Good on you for your positive attitude, Roehl or Averitt would be ok.

    What's your location, city/state?

What type of company is BST? Did you mean BCT?

    Sorry, Cincinnati Ohio.
I'm in good shape so labor doesn't bother me. (Unloading trailer/tarping/etc.)

BST is a local flatbed company. Smaller, around 100 trucks.

If I remember correctly, a new driver from Columbus posted he went to work there. With that ticket, which ever company you choose, stick with them until that ticket is 3 yrs. old.

Try Schneider Bulk also; if they hire you take the job and you will make some good money and excellent tanker training for local work after that ticket drops off.

The only box company I can think off that may hire you is Paschall Truck Lines in Murray, KY & they run Eastern half of USA & trucks have APU's.

Whichever company I stick with it will be until that ticket falls off lol. 11 months and counting! I'm really thinking BST or roehl! BST pays percentage, roehl I think starts at .35 CPM if I remember correctly.

I just saw that roehl does hair drug tests. I have not done any illegal drugs in the last 10 years, but I did take two of my wife's pain pills back in January due to a sore knee. Do I have to worry? That is literally it in the last 10 years. :/

Hair tests go back approximately 3 months as they test 3" of hair and the average hair growth is about 1" per month. 2 pain pills might not even be picked up at all even if they were more resent, I wouldn't worry at all about passing a drug test.
