Which companies have waiting list to be hired

none. most better jobs will want experience, along with endorsements beyond air brakes. ive never heard of a waiting list for a company. i know linde, praxair, and univar will let you create a profile, and they will automatically email you if openings come up in your area.

I've heard that company jobs for refineries like marathon, etc have waiting lists. Big bucks, lotsa nephews, brothers, uncles, etc on those lists. Just what I've heard, haven't actually seen those places let alone investigated or applied, so take it for what it's worth.

 

good luck with those places, they are going the way of the dinosaur, its cheaper to use 3pl's. not that 3pls cant be good jobs, but no where near where co. drivers for petroleum get paid. i heard sunoco isnt hiring anymore, and that they are just letting their seniority list shrink from attrition....

The jobs , the really great ones , the ones that you can spend a career at , might not have what you call a waiting list...they just don't ever advertise their openings. When they are looking for help they'll more often then not , ask drivers if "they" know of any drivers that want work...or maybe a cousin or an in-law that's good. Good drivers know other good drivers........but , to answer the OP's question , look around , the companies that you don't see any advertisements for , are the ones you want to check-out....

 

Not hired. They put me on a list to come to orientation when they have non smoking trainers available...Sept some time they said. They didn't even run back around check cause they figure most on the list will hire on somewhere else before .... the recruiter said if I smoked I could come right away. He said there has been an unusual amount of non smokers this summer.

I am actually going to orientation at a different company this Monday....
