    I have not.

But I HAVE taken a DOT road test. Expect (at the minimum) a full pre-trip, atleast two right turns, a railroad crossing, and a straight line backing.

Don't be nervous. And get out and look...then honk before you back. And don't hit anything. You'll be fine.

Over there the time i took it the pretrip is pretty simple. You dont open the engine compartment (unless they changed it).

The only maneuver really that I had to do was a parallel park and a bit of a straight back really. Then at the end of the side street that they may pull you into, you will make a u-turn (the instructor will be watching your use of the mirrors)

The brake test was the first thing. It is very easy over there.

I just passed my cdl test today up here in RI and trust me, up here aint easy.

Other than that over there they will be checking how you merge into traffic, the turns.

Bridge underpass clearance height is big over there.

You will need to know how high your trailer is and tell them what the posted heights are at underpasses. If not posted just tell them: not posted, should be 14' or higher.

Mirrors mirrors mirrors and keeping up with the speed.

Needless to say I failed it that time but that was because I had little to no training and no money to pay for a full program.

Thanks everyone for the input.. I am taking it this Wednesday . I didn't do so well in Maspeth and they have me scheduled here now. My speed was a bit of an issue last time so I definitely need to monitor.
    Thanks again everyone

This site is just a sign on the side of the road went by to get an idea of the layout and didn't see anyone or any truck waited for over 2 hours.. has anyone taken a skills test here before? I would hate to rent a truck and head over there with my buddy to find out I've been fooled

I know a good spot to take it if you want to come about an hour and a half North west. I'd even drive you around the course
