Yeah, that's what I think happened. I got him to answer his cell only once, and he was sitting beside the interstate with a flat. I knew he didn't have time to talk, so I told him to call me back, because I had a good deal for both of us. He never knew it, but I intended to pay him if I got my CDL by using his rig. I would have had no problem with paying him a $500 bonus, but for whatever reason, he never called back. His loss.

I know I'll learn more at school anyway. Just a little less convenient being out of town.

You are right about the scam element. I am interested in driving over the road and there is a school located in Metro East St. Louis. I asked the trainer if a student would get a discount if they got their cdl driving permit on their own so they did not have to sit in class to learn how to pass the cdl test to get the permit. He told me that it didn't matter. They would not give a discount for that. I would have to sit through hours of "training" just to get the cdl permit - and pay them for the privilege. He said the State of Illinois "requires" this. So it's obvious that there is collusion. But this is Illinois.

Sygma Network hires drivers with only a cdl permit. The rest is OJT with an experienced driver. They give you 90 days to qualify and acquire the cdl.
    Where is your location?
