Carl,s jr and mcdonalds across the street from staging yard
unloader Thanks this. -
Big Dad beat me to it, Micky D's across the street. Call ahead, they have a staging yard a few blocks from the actual warehouse. I didn't know that the first time I went there. They have porta pots but no real restrooms. You can't here crap on the check in phone either, be prepared for that. Take a nap and they call your cell when they want you to load. Actually one of the better places in Salinas and the loads are light as heck.

My friends and I have a saying. When we get a p/u assignment for them, we say that we are about to get Taylor farmed...meaning we are about to get screwed for the next 24 hours.
RustyChops41 and Milo161 Thank this. -
I never had a problem loading at Taylor. No T&A - whole different story. I knew I was in for it the first time I pulled in at Sprekels and they had a restaurant in the middle of the truck staging area!

Typical salinas cooler, hit or miss.

One of the worst places in Salinas. Plan to burn 12 or more hours.
If no appointment = not retail packaged salad mix:
1) Check in with them at the dirt parking lot before 20:00
2) ***** go do your other Picks *******
3) Come back to dirt lot and plan on a nap until dawn
They are a crappy place with no respect for drivers. I live in Salinas and have told my dispatcher "only as a last resort, and then I would prefer to sit" -
Guess I'm must be a lucky one, Wait time for me there has never passed 2 hours

I was at Taylor Farms in Salinas about 6 weeks ago. Had to wait 23 hours to get loaded. I waited because it was a 2000 mile run to Orlando, FL.
