I have read your report on ripoffreport. I have talked to some holland drivers a while back and 2 of them were rehires that said that they had no problems when they quit holland with a 2-week notice and their DAC was clean. Some of the smaller companies require a 2-week notice if you want to resign and usually they will route you back to the terminal to turn their truck in and make arrangements to either fly or take a bus back home. The bigger carriers usually don't care for a notice as long as you return their truck to any terminal. You stated in the report that you got all the bonuses, which means you averaged over 30k miles in a quarter. So what happened? Can you be more specific? I am not saying holland is a good carrier or was in the right. It just seems there is a lot more to the story.

first a little back ground on me I went to holland with 22 years experience driving truck. I have never had a accident. and by the time i was hired at holland it was 10 years since a ticket of any kind. and all of my past experience was with real high mileage company's hauling produce from coast to coast and LTL fish. and if you know anything about produce or fish you know you bust your A s s.

Now the reason I quit holland. Was doing a great job got you no where. for instance it was July or august of 2007 I was running out west AZ.CA. NE.IA well you get the point it was HOT. and after 2 weeks of running with out air and dispatch promising to get me by the yard to get it fixed. and there only yard being in mapleton ND. and dispatch not finding a load that went that way. I made a stand in Henderson NV. when it was 115 in the shade and I was getting really sick from lack of sleep due to the heat and was scared I had heat stroke . I called and informed dispatch I would not move unless they had a load to the yard or i could get the air fixed. will they had no load to the yard so they told me to get the air fixed in Vegas, that week I had a little over 3800 miles in. so I got the Air fixed so when I called up to get a T-check Sh1T hit fan the the filth I was called and the screaming was so loud I held the phone away from my ear and every one in the shop office could hear. I just hung up on steve holland. and he called back to thermo king still screaming so again I hung up. finely he got the point and gave me the numbers. I know there are two sides to every story my said was from a ash fault parking lot in a 115 temp in NV. And his was from a air conditioned office in ND.

NO. 2 I was a great on LtL I could make the appt, and get the freight off. but these loads would hurt your miles and pay check but I been in this business long enough to know you took the bad with the good.and hoped it would be noticed and appreciated. it was noticed because krise one of the dispatcher would have me meet other driver's who came out of CA.AZ WA. with loads with 7 to 9 drops or more meet me in Chicago or some were with only 150 to 200 miles left and 7 to 9 drop or more. I never said a word until i noticed a pattern she would give me a good run coast to coast and on my way back off the east coast would stop me and have me run a bunch of LTL . from Chicago to the east coast. Thats not why I went to work for holland they told me that there average load was 1700 miles. and don't think I didn't let them know in a respectful way how i felt but I guess some times people take being respectful as weakness and just try to use you and run over you.

N0.3 was just the tone dispatch would talk to you in I know they have just as stressful job as a driver. but if i can over come my stress and address you with respect please return the favor and not talk to me like I am trash or less of a human then you are. and take notice that I am not one of the drivers that are always out of hours or ##### every day about every thing that if you here me complain there is some thing wrong .they never notice after almost 3 years they never herd I am out of hours come out of my mouth.

my last straw was winter of 2009 I hand a drop in Portland OR they were having the wost winter on record in 60 years and only had like 10 snow plows for the hole state . I was 50miles from portland when Dot shut down the Hwy I have never been a one to sit around I would take it to the limit to get the job done and that was were I was at, Dot was writing tickets the roads were way beyond bad and this dispatcher in ND. was telling me to take a two lane over the summit and try to go around well I had already told her that all roads were closed as a matter of fact all roads were blocked from wrecks and stuck trucks in the snow or spinning on ice but no that was not good enough for her she new better then some with 22 years driving a truck in the winter knew. so when I said i can't that was when she started to talk to me like I was trash. I had already changed up like 7 times just in that trip to make over passes and snow and ice and if it was possible to DL that load it would have been done.

but the mane reason I quit was my health I have had a bad back for years I hurt it unloading beef on the floor putting on wood. it got to the point I was in contest pain my leg would swell up and my arm would go numb and a bunch of other crap. hell I am 50 now and spent most of my life in a truck so that's why it really hurt when you have spent most of your life doing one thing only to have a worthless S,O,B lie about you on a Dac

so that is why I would not suggest to any one to work for holland as long as they have a real small person who truth means nothing to like Denzil working for them.

Sounds like this guy has a grudge against denzil..., besides that, he doesn't even explain the reason that denzil supposedly put a bad mark on his record.
