Crack is whack.. but I do agree to the stockholm syndrome.
Company drivers think they have it made because "their" company owns half the trucks in the "US, Mexico and Canada."scottied67 and Toomanybikes Thank this. -

Just today I saw a Swift driver barreling through an active work zone at about 60mph while tailgating a car.
I got the trailer number and mile marker where it happened . I got parked at a rest area and called this number I found for Swift. I followed the recorded instructions to get a hold of their safety dept. The lady who answered said I needed to call a different safety dept. I told her I would just call DOT instead and tell them bout how laxidasic Swift was for their handling (or lack thereof. ) of the situation. As I started to hang up she was all like "well now gang on a minute..."
I didnt give her a second chance. I still have the info, right now I'm debating if it's even worth the bother to report this to DOT. Perhaps Swift can just go to far some day and step on its own tail and have to reap the bitter harvest.
i know Swift is a $#!tty company. I've see their bone headed antics daily. -
It must had been a trainer.

Some of us get paid by the hour and get lots of overtime. I admire and appreciate the OTR driver because how much time and home life they sacrifice. but give me my daycab because I know I'm going home eventually

Swift doesn't own many trucks; It leases almost all of their equipment.
The lease term is something like 39 months. You see, they know their business is seasonal and the fire drivers in mass, clock DACs, and send trucks back to the dealer's lots after the Christmas season surge. -
If I had a dollar for every thread titled "the truth about *insert company*"... I would have a lot of dollars.

If I was in an arrow truck I would have fueled up all the way dropped the trailer where I fueled and got as far as I could go
scottied67 Thanks this.
