1. The lowest starting pay that I've seen. They'll pull that old trick of giving u a number about the same as everyone else, but once they get you in its way lower than what the recruiter told you.
2. The miles suck! You'll be told verbally in orientation that you're expected to run a minimum of 2500 miles per week. Of course they don't and won't give you this in writing. When you call in to complain about the low milage, they'll tell you that the TRUCK is expected to run 2500, what the driver gets paid for is different. I have to complain and beg for miles every other week
3. Inexperienced Dispatchers. Between my dispatcher and their immediate supervisor. They have a combined 1 year of experience. Yet with my level of experience they tell me how to do my job and never even seen the inside of a truck, and couldn't find the bobtail yard.
4.Extremely high turnover for a company it's size. When I last checked it was at 125 or 127%. Carroll Fulmer has a extremely hard time keeping driver that's been with them 4 years or more.
5. Their equipment sucks! Majority of their fleet is mid roof Mack's, some KW T660 mid roof, and international mid roofs, most of the fleet is four years old. They recently got in a bunch of new Internationals but they're all smart shift (from what I was told). Seriously? The mega fleets stay away from Mack's and smart shifts for good reason
6. Carroll Fulmer passes the $6 com data fee for getting a comchek for properly authorized lumper unload onto the drivers. Prior I had a 1200 mile week, but I was expected to have the $350 lumper unload fee in cash because " today is payday, why don't you have the money". Stands to reason that if I was getting decent miles I would have the cash to pay the lumper therefore not needing to get a comchek Needless to say, the $6 fee equates to me driving 20 miles for free. Really starts to add up when you get back to back to back loads that require limpets.
7. Carroll Fulmer doesn't pay drivers detention until after 4 hours. Despite me doing everything they require me to do,I always get "this customer doesn't pay detention" I don't even bother anymore, after 2 hours I try to figure something out
8. Despite the trucks having Qualcomm, most communication is done via driver's personal cellphones. When day shift leaves they'll send a fleet message saying don't call in use the Qualcomm???? BTW don't even think of asking the company to pick up your overage costs, and don't drive their truck anywhere that doesn't have cellphone service or you'll get the riot act!
9. If you breakdown, expect a minimum of 2 hours before company road service gets back to you. Again despite you putting all of the information in the Qualcomm macro, they will call your cellphone and ask you all of the information that you just sent in the macro, only to ask you if you can drive to a TA or Petro. Breakdown pay fahgedaboutit!

Sounds like a demanding company that doesn't appreciate their drivers. So why are you still there with all your exp?
-
If the TRUCK is running 2500,then talk to the truck,or pay me what the TRUCK is running.

Theyre trying to skin the cat from another angle.Next they will be passing off Chinese leap year

It sounds like they are not a good fit for you. Maybe the other way around. I have been with them for about a year and I love this company my pay is great every week. If you look at the statement the 6 bucks your complaining about is charged and then credited right back to you. My miles are constant. I drive regional and I do well over 3000 miles every week. So my guess is that your the one with problems not the company. If your not happy then go on find a better place. I hear swift is hiring and got a new pay increase. ....

Even if you got good miles why the heck would you even consider pulling cash out of your pocket to pay the lumper fee? That's just ridiculous!
