I spoke with a recruiter for a company out here in Nevada yesterday and he told me that I should expect my dispatcher to lie to me about delivery times, avalibility of loads and sitting while waiting for them to make up their minds on where I was going next. So I should want to go to a company that is telling me before I even start that they are going to lie and b.s. me and make me sit for hours on end?

So I should want to go to a company that is telling me before I even start that they are going to lie and b.s. me and make me sit for hours on end? At least if anyone went there to work then quit ( for those reasons ) they could not come on here and :biggrin_2553: that they were lied to .

Schneider has a higher retention rate than UPS?

    I highly doubt that.

Especially considering Schneider runs training schools.

I never had to fight for my pay. They actually give me extra miles. Let's say I stop by the yard to grab some trailer lights or paper work, my FM would see me and say "oh you're here? Lemme update your events so you get paid" even if it was kinda on the way. I thought being with a mega company I would be treated like another driver number. If you actually push yourself and show them you're a hard worker it will show and you will gain respect

Wait, someone here said you can't even make phone calls with a headset? So you can only receive incoming calls while driving?

The use of hands free devices while driving is prohibited at SNI. No phone calls while driving, period, it is in their policy and is gone over completely at orientation.

I don't know UPS retention rate, but the rate at SNI is pretty high for a mega.

Also, SNI no longer runs training schools, you must have a valid CDL before being hired on.

    What?!??!?!?

    When did they change that?

lol I went through there school in Carlisle PA to get my CDL.

UPS is the largest in the industry and they pay $.73 per mile and $37 per hour is why I stated that.
