Food break at a rest area near Malvern, AR.

The detour only added about 40 minutes to what I figure it would have taken had 40 been open, so no biggie. Most of that added time probably came from stoplights and speed zones; there was very little backup. The police are out directing traffic and making sure it all goes smoothly.

On a completely unrelated note, I'm craving a cheeseburger. But since I've got a fridge stuffed full of food, I'm eating a sandwich (turkey on wheat) potato salad and berries. It's a poor substitute for a cheeseburger.

Oh, and the potato salad is almost frozen.

I know a co worker who likes it. I don't. It has no storage room at all, much smaller than the Columbia.... I like space, I carry food, pots, pan, I cook in the truck, carry enough stuff to stay 2 to 3 months on the road and this Pro-Star is way too small for me. The mirrors are small too, too many electronic stuff that can go bad. All the "old" Columbias that I drove never gave me as many problems as the new Cascadias and Pro-Star Internationals that my friend drives.

I am VERY UPSET! The truck I got will have an electronic log. The shop is installing it right now. :biggrin_25510::biggrin_25510::biggrin_25510: I just came from an elog class and the first thing that I don't like at all is the fact that we can't exchange msgs while driving.... :biggrin_25510: I can just imagine having to park every time I need to exchange msgs.... DARN! :biggrin_25510: I think I am going to detest this thing....

Sitting in my truck and feeling quite comfortable, thank you.

Stopped by el terminalo to speak with a benefits specialist to continue my bennies. Was talked into a shag tomorrow instead of starting a 34hr restart. Was told I'd be doing the load planner 'a favor'.

    ...right.

Delaware OH. Things are going swimmingly... got time, good road, traffic not heavy - but wait! There are red brake lights ahead!!

You guessed it. Got stuck in traffic less than 10 miles from my receiver - bad accident at I270 and US23. Ms Elogs decides I'm over my 14 in the middle of it. Oh well... can win 'em all. At Kroger's bull pen for the night in Delaware OH.
