thought that read teams were eligible. Not many, if any , company teams post here for the first hand scoop on that, unfortunately.

That would sure make it alot better having a motel during your reset.

Do you want to be miserable everyday go to a company with no apu"s, and let some office dork tell you
what temperature you should be able to sleep in. If you want to be comfortable and be able to plug in
everything from a microwave to a cell phone and set the temperature that's rite for you and never have to worry about
idle laws in any state or just as important while at shippers and receivers then go with somebody who has them.
After having one I won't go anywhere if they don't have them.
Somebody would have to pay me 10 cents a mile more for me to even consider a otr truck with no apu unit.
I got no sympathy for you drivers with your fans and window screens and sweating like a pig while getting loaded
in 90 degree heat in Laredo tx, because the company won't let you idle your truck. Yea that's me parked next to
you with the windows up and the apu running with the ac on.
Nobody would let a stranger come into their house and set their thermostat where the heat won't start till its
30 degrees or the ac won't kick on till it's 85.. But yet there's a half a million truck drivers who allow this crap
to be done to them everyday. Unbelivable.

Western - please reread earlier posts. SNI trucks will idle when the outside temp is above 70 degrees to run the AC, anecdotaly most will idle around 65. If any SNI driver is sweating it's because he's doing his Jane Fonda "Buns of Steel" video.

If a Schneider driver is cold they can turn on the bunk heater. If the bunk heater won't work they will put you up in a motel (personal experiance).

Do we need to be more aware of truck battery usage? Yes. I am sure to pre charge my laptop while I run during the day and watch how much I use after shutting down. Yet my fridge stays cold - tonight I had to thaw my mashed potatoes before cooking (were not frozen Monday when I stocked the fridge), I eat well, and am overall happy. I would much rather have a diesel apu but that's not going to happen for a variety of reasons.

As for motels on resets - my DBL has told me first night in the truck, second in the hotel. I've never tested him on it, but then again it's been almost two years since I took a 34 hr reset on the road.

Hello, Husband and I are in Truck Driving school as i type in this message box. We are in Central Texas. We Also Like Schneider BUT we come to find out they are the low pay scale for team drivers. If broken down it is split to .16 cent which is .32 cent a mile. We are KrisAngel please keep in touch with us. As we would like to stay in touch with both of you. Thanks KrisAngel

My bunk heater doesnt work, but we were allowed to idle last winter. Now it's getting nicer out I can't idle much. I got a heated blanket and that helps alot

The pay for teams is split but you get paid for all miles not just what you drive.
