Wait till you drive with 1 pin. Looks like your toyoko drifting the trailer.

While a pump down isn't part of a post trip checking the brake lights is. According to the LATEST AND GREATEST(note the sarcasm) guides issued by the training department the trailer hold switch should be activated, supplying air to the back. If the pancake in the air chamber is going bad you will hear the leak. In my experience long before it gets to the gushing point.

Anytime I have an air leak (or other issue) that the shop "just can't find" I make them walk me out to the shop and show me. If I can't recreate the problem then and there I'll roll. I've learned to show the mechanic exactly what I think is wrong before letting them get to work in the first place.

The tandem locking pin rule changed about two years ago. 4 of 4 is now the minimum per rule 393.207

This Cbag call out goes for an unnamed driver. I jinxed myself of course during my pretrip inspection on the preloaded trailer I'm picking up. First thing I noticed though at Millwood in Tunkhannock is the trailer tandems are slid all the way forward. What kind of Cbag can't follow directions and slide them to the rear?

So as I'm completing my inspection I think to myself "man, I've had real good luck with trailers lately" with a quick thought right after "why the hell did I just jinx myself". So I do the air brake test and I'm losing 30psi per minute on a major air leak. Go to inspect but the tandems all the way forward and the side skirts block me from getting under.

Finally mess around with it enough and get the lever to release. Hold it in place with a vice grip and slide them to the rear. Look at the lever and there's a completely busted rod that's supposed to be connected to the lever.

Also appears the leak is coming from the trailer air tank valve, but I can't tell if it's that or maybe a pancake on the brake chamber. What a mess.

First off, cbag obviously left a busted tandem lever for me because that explains why he didn't slide the tandems to the rear in the first place. The air leak on the other hand, could have been a yard guy here that blew out a pancake or the valve just busted after the driver dropped it. Don't see how the driver would have pulled a trailer leaking 30psi in a minute.

This cbag callout goes to church and Dwight in York pa. Seriously, who loads 45300 lbs of freight all the way to the rear door of the trailer when there are 43' tandem bridge laws in effect? 3+ hours getting it reworked for a second time now as first rework was still 1300 lbs over

Never been there but thank god they closed the pos pilot off i285 exit 16.... Ugh...I hated getting fuel there. 20 parking spots, exit same as entrance, and the only way out of that place was to get out and look 20 times because of "creative" parking. Was barely enough space to perform the required u-turn.

At least the one I'm talking about closed for good. ...got pictures of yours?

While you're at it take a look at the road (635) that goes up the mountain through the middle of the actual Hampton NJ town. Made that mistake once trying to find Clint's truck stop. LOL.
