What's yall record for going back to the shipper to get the load rework?

For me its 3 times if you include the first time getting loaded up. Only happen with two shippers for me. Currently getting rework now! Somebody posted a picture about how to load a trailer up, I saved it....but delete it cause I never thought the loader would ask if "come inside and tell me how you want it" now would be useful. It's going to cali btw so just axle overweight for me

Drives need to know HOW to load the product. You can't just rely on the shipper/forklift driver. Always ask product weight/pallet weight/how many pallets etc. It becomes a hassle when you're loading odd pallets and different weights .

Right, I'm assuming if everything is the same, and I need a few grand off the tail, I can ask to double up on the nose a few and line it down. Not a loader but that's what I think. Unless there's a trick to it

Still depends on number of pallets and weight per pallet ... Do you know these numbers and are you loading a 53'? Is the trailer kingpin right on the nose or is it a deep pin?

3 times for me as well. Paper plant in conneticut.

Almost took an act of congress and getting dispatch involved to get them to do it right the 3rd time. Weighed legal on their scales the 2nd time. Barely. Got 40 miles out to the nearest cat scale and ended up at 35,200 on the drives. They refused to hear their scales weren't right even showing it to them in black and white certified weight.

Wasted 8hrs on that bs but did get 5hrs detention and the extra 80 miles that they charged back to the customer.

I knew how to load one and all of what we haul, with the exception of some back hauls and combos on the front hauls, is odd pallets, at least weight wise.
    .
Guy refused to change it, dispatch wasn't much help until I'd been sitting all day at Port Newark.

Finally was able to convince my boss to intervene with his boss and get it reloaded right, before I was no one, and suddenly, I became the forklift driver's newest best friend.

I guess I was able to teach someone in NJ something once. BTW, I was over 40 k on the drives with the tandems slid way ahead. This was from using the suspension gauge, which I no longer have.

5 Times at grimway farms with a load of walmart carrots... the loader refused to load it the way I told him to the first time, and I was 38,000 on the drives...5th time a different loader, did what I asked, and got the weight off the drives, and close enough on the tandems... gross was 80,050. Still was not california legal by 1 1/2 inces on the 40ft rules, but since it was now 1am, I hightailed it out of bakersfield, into nevada with no problems... It was my load home for home time.

I have been really fortunate and never had to go back to any shipper. I will say the strangest load I have ever done, I got a qcomm to pick up a trailer in Redlands, CA. When I got the paperwork it said 200# I asked if it was correct, they said it was. When I closed the doors, it had a children's plastic play ground...nothing more, bound for Salt Lake City...easiest trip ever!

I loaded a Johnsonville meat in Sheboygen falls,Wi
Went and scaled load,it was over weight by 1800,return to shipper and shpping mgr wants to argue?

When he threw his clipboard down and took off his glasses I stepped back 3 feet and got ready position to fight with fists up!
He then yelled that he would take 1 pallet off and no more!

I yelled back..you will take as many off as it takes to making the(curse words)legal or you can take it ALL off and shove the dam sausages up your ###!!

They took the 1 pallet off and corrected the paperwork and I went to rescale, after rescale I was still 300 over but decided to roll down the road rather than go bare knuckles with him at 2am when I was already tired..

Anyone going to that place be aware..the 3rd shift shipping manager is a dick.
