I'm considering swift but just wanting to get some info on them, how is the home time with Swift. I live in NC near Burlington?
what is the cpm to start & the average miles a week. Do they allow new drivers to go regional?
Can you park truck at home during home time
Swift info needed please

I think the closest terminal to you will be Greer, SC. If you have a secure location to park the rig you might be able to park at or near home, but be prepared to commute to the terminal in your car if necessary.
For new drivers you will be starting at $0.33 per mile and OTR. Regional or dedicated opportunities are there once you "put your hat in the ring" and prove yourself.
Home time for OTR is anytime after three weeks out, with one day per six days out. If you plan on more than three days home time you need to clean out the truck and be reassigned a new truck. This would mean having to go back to the terminal.HousTank Thanks this. -

also they never get you home near the time you want. I would end up fighting to get home and always be like a week later.

Its that simple.Moosetek13, lcfd15 and HousTank Thank this. -
I live in Houston and in my 3 years with Swift I have not been late getting home once, often I"m there the day before. I also take hometime in Mobile AL and I've experienced a one day delay a couple times just because it was tougher to get a load into that area.
As Lepton mentioned above 3 days is the general rule for turning the truck in. However that may be modified depending on your home terminal policy and your DM. I have a very good relationship with mine and have been on her board from the start of my time with Swift. Your performance record may also come into consideration as well. In my case I usually stay out 5 weeks, average 3k miles per week with a spotless performance record. I always take 4 days off, a couple of times 5-6 days...and I keep my truck. That's not always the case at all terminals. -
HousTank Thanks this.

I can honestly say what they have posted is true. Swift is among the 30 companies I recruit for and this is all true.

Swift has an intermodel drop yard in Charlotte, you could maybe ask about parking there
