I had a friend that hauled bulk milk, and it was a low, like minimum wage low, paying job, and they ran the socks off him in a day cab. Farm pickup may pay a little more, but that brings in a whole new set of problems.
Can you refer any companies that do 'farm pick up' (milk hauling)? Also, what 'problems' are you speaking of? Thanks!

I was just offered a milk hauling job. This is not typical; this is an hourly pay scale through the Teamsters union. They start me out at $15.30 something an hour; time and a half after 8 , double time after 40. Regular 14 hour days, so OT and DT every day. 5 on 2 off 5 on 3 off... On the very low end, we're looking at 50k per annum at least. On the highest end, maxing hours out every day, I'd be looking at $79k for the year. That is literally working a 16 hour shift 5x per week. A more realistic figure I'm looking at, is 60K average. Your results may vary. But those cows don't stop milking for holidays, birthdays, or to sleep. There's work 24/7/365, and that can be good or bad for you depending on your lifestyle.
knuckledragger Thanks this. -
