And they talk about the drivers in the south who don't know how to drive in the snow. LOL

Relentless Twin Cities Snow Results In About 400 Crashes - Videos from The Weather Channel

You know something, people ask me , how to drive in the snow, you know I tell them. I have 2 rules. #1 Stay home. #2 Slow down
Coming down 1-81 one bad night, running arund 35 mph, Yellow goes by me and hollers on the CB, "hey you scared"? Few miles down the road around Mt. Jackson, Va I go by Yellow, he is in the median. I made it home.

I saw that too, and in a place that never has to deal with those conditions,,( cough), Minnesota, has possibly the WORST drivers I've ever encountered, except perhaps Florida. As if they are proud of that fact. Proof positive, the cell phone has got to go,,

Too fast for conditions. And too much difference in judgement about what constitutes prudent driving.

The Twin Cities have a fairly large percentage of foreign-born residents (15%), including Mexicans and Somalis. They tend to be even less skilled than Southerners when driving on snow and ice. And the native-born residents are some of the rudest drivers in the nation (excluding my cousins of course).

Gives new meaning to the "Twin Cities 400",,,what's that you say, never heard? Well,,,(blowing dust off history book), the "Twin City 400" was a train that in the 30s, went from Chicago to the Cities in 400 minutes. Think about that, you can barely do that today by truck. It had streamlined locomotives capable of 100 mph, but averaged about 80, WITH stops. All aboard!
