An ode to gps idiocy...

I call mine The Good Idea Fairy.

One place I pick up in Florida. ...
It routes me an extra 17 miles because it doesnt recognize theres a left turn lane. Except it has told me to do a uturn at exactly that same spot.

Anywhere on i80 in nebraska it tells me to get off the highway 1 to 3 exits early and drive the little roads. Then says my route will take me on an unpaved road.

Center TX. Pass the road Tyson is on. Use two alleys. Drive through the center of town. All the while warning that im going to be on a restricted route.

Columbus Ohio... The entire city is a no truck route.

Dallas.... uh... turn the volume off.

 

Watched this truck crawling down this rutty dirt road in what must have been 2nd gear. Tried to go through a mud puddle that spanned the whole road and got stuck.

When he walked by he was on the phone...
"followed my GPS down this dirt road and got stuck. You need to get a wrecker down here to get me out."

I can just imagine what some of the truck owners on here would say to him if he called them and said that.
