Hello there I want to learn the pre-trip inspection but I am not sure where to begin. What is the best way to study the pre-trip inspection? I been looking online for one but I am not sure what one is good or bad.

The back of the state's CDL handbook that you study out of for your license.

find a good checklist......(someone will probably post here) and do it every day for 2 months and you'll be fine. Same goes for the sample test questions.......http://www.thetruckersreport.com/cdl-practice-tests/

use any checklist available online and memorize it meaning inspect the same way every-time. If you feel comfortable checking in a similar but different way that's okay to. Just make sure to take the same steps each inspection.

You from Cali?, here's Cali
Its the one I used.rabbiporkchop and crazybread Thank this. -
The most important thing is to do it the same way every time, so you know you haven't missed anything. Do it from whatever guide you choose to use until you can do it without a guide.

Or if your at a big T/S, like Iowa 80 where you got 3-4 hundred drivers getting up and leaving in the morning just watch all them doing there P-T to get a good idea off what to do.
