Hey guys, new driver here with 6 months experience, and I'm wondering what sort of accidents that employers are able to look up when they are looking for incidents? I ask because I was recently terminated for 3 minor backing incidents and I am wondering what companies will take me as I am having a helluva time trying to find an OTR job right now. Willing to work regional/local and fill out some endorsements if it's necessary, but really could use some help here.
Brand new and looking for advice.

They check your DAC report (www.hireright.com) in most cases.
Did you have "accidents" or "incidents" ; incidents sound better and look better on a job application.
Put your location on your profile so we know the hiring area you live in.
Do online applications before any phone calls; follow up with a phone call after about 48 hrs.
TransAm
Western Express
Martin Enterprises of the Carolinas
New Image Logistics - Mount Dora,FL
Balkan Express
Florida Beauty Express
Carolina Logistics
Carolina Cargo
May Trucking Company
Big-M Transportation
PI&I Motor Express
Young's Transportation - Fresno,CA
Craigslist - under "transportation"
These companies bend their hiring criteria that's on the websites.
48 hrs. call and say, "I'm checking on my job application."Last edited: Oct 6, 2016

It's an incident if you stomp on your brakes and spill your coffee...if you hit something it's an accident !
Try to have a learning moment here. They fired you for having minor accidents. They are not waiting for you to hit the shipping clerk as she waddles out of her going away party on her first day of maternity leave.
When I first learned to drive these big trucks I wondered how someone could go a million miles without hitting something. After my training I wonder how everyone can't go a million miles safely.
Here is your learning moment. Every accident is caused by a microsecond or less of inattention. All the crosses you see by the highway are inattention, very brief, but catastrophic. Your minor "incidents" are inattention. The only difference is you haven't killed anyone....yet.
Please learn why you hit stuff and learn how to stop it. Seriously, I wish you luck in figuring it out. -
Appreciate it, they were backing accidents which was my problem. I do try and learn from my mistakes, unfortunately I was put into some tough backing situations and didn't know how to handle them at the time. No one to blame but myself, but I am hoping to move on from it and take what I learned and move on.
thejackal Thanks this. -
