No it says you have not a clue what you are talking about. Seattle and Portland only have orientation when they need to fill a seat which in most cases is due to terminations not drivers quiting. Seattle has hire 1 driver in the last 3 weeks. I would also hazard to say that I doubt you have been to all of their terminals let alone on tuesday to see if a orientation is being conducted at all of them.
Since each terminal operates like a small fleet it is funny when I hear drivers say go work for a small company and they will treat you better.
My friend who has worked there over 2 yrs now has had the same dispacher the whole time has stayed out more then 10 days 1 time and does over 2500 per week every week.
OTR company's suck period, big and small . 2 guys can go to the same outfit and have totally different experiences, but al least know what the he double hockey sticks you are talking about when you bash them
Do not work for knight transportation!!!

truckerdave1970 and the baltimore porkchop Thank this. -
The fact is most drivers at knight are terminated these day's. If they don't like how you roll they just starve you out till you say no mas and quit. It's called termination without the need to pay unenjoyment.
People they have drivers lining up to take your seat for .31 per mile why would they have to have drivers who need to be hugged and kissed.
If the truck aint rolling then they want you gone. It's that simple. -

I begged for miles from my DM. He told me I'd have to wait in line behind the other 75 trucks that empty called before me that day. The DM came in, did his 8 hours then went home. Asking for miles wasn't asking to be coddled, I'm a driver, not a truck sitter. If they would've kept me rolling, I'd still be there. When you run from Portland to LA, then sit for 3.5 days the company AND the driver is not making money. In the course of 5 days, a driver could make 2.5 round trips from Portland to LA. All I wanted was to run. -
YES YES Boogieman ur correct. And God forbid will u set in that red home of yours u idle Kevin Knights money away.OL hell he ant got enough money does he.And blue why do u defend this company as u do. If u have a cdl and want to work for them i will pay for ur Greyhound ticket. Please blue go there and then please wright about how much u love them.PLEASE!!!!!!!!!! GO!!!!!!!!!!!! They are the worst people out there.Do u also defend not letting a driver keep cool in a truck? What any way do u do for a job? DM for KNIGHT? If so your time is also short. They care about no one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
What is your deal Bigblue ? Why do you take this so personally ? We are discussing dishonesty within Knight and your defending them like were talking about you. Can not see how crooked Knight is ? Do you actually expect drivers to lay down like a dieing dog ?
-
big blue sounds like a Knight plant to me! I have met only a few (less than 5) drivers while I worked for Knight that were happy! I'm sorry, I mis-typed. The only happy Knight drivers I ever met are NO LONGER WORKING FOR KNIGHT!
-
dave, that's because it was either the rolling jail cell or go back to jail, and/or have no home to go back to. they were happy with that awesome $300 a week! that's the most they'd ever seen in their life!
bigblue is either in denial, he's a mormon, or a mix of the two. those are the only two types who'll defend this company to their fullest. -
Oh man this is freakin hilarious...you guys sound like a bunch of snot-nosed kids on the schoolyard...
My Daddy's tougher than your daddy...
No he's not....
