There have been a lot of trucks that have hit this bridge in Augusta, Maine in the last few years, but this is the first one to actually make it through without getting stuck. I used to deliver food around Augusta and there are many signs in that area warning you about a low bridge. How it is so many drivers fail to see them and hit that bridge is beyond me.
Don't worry about that low bridge

Breaking: 18 Wheeler Rips Trailer Apart Under Low Bridge In Augusta And Keeps Driving! [Exclusive Photos]
This just in to our news room… A tractor trailer in downtown Augusta drove under the low clearance bridge on Water Street earlier this morning (May 5), ripping a majority of the roof and doors apart on the trailer.. And the driver kept going!
According to David Hopkins, the owner of Merkaba Sol in Downtown Augusta, who witnessed the accident, it sounded like thunder when the truck went under the bridge and the truck continued on its way over toward City Center.
There is no word on if the truck has been stopped by authorities. We have called the Augusta Police for more information regarding this incident, and will post updates when they are available.
