Line haul strictly drop and hook and drive. LTL pays better than OTR. Home every night or other.
P&D is multiple stop pick up and delivery - usually hourly. Good workout.VaGump Thanks this. -
Thanks. Was what I was wondering. My body can't take a good workout anymore. Not sure how much longer I can drive really. Only 43 but joints, hips, lower back are taking a beating just driving. Need a more comfortable seat I think. LOL I don't want to put in 70hrs a week anymore and anything less really doesn't pay the bills.....
DTP Thanks this. -
LTL either way is hard work - either drive like heck, dock work or P&D.
We did line haul for 7+ years for ODFL. Physically taxing.
Now flatbed - much healthier.VaGump Thanks this.
