I don't know why it wouldn't work in the windshield. In my dry van setup I have had it go off in rubbermade totes under the bunk when I used a loaner truck and didn't feel like going thru the hassle of assigning it to another truck for 1 trip.

The very lowest corner at the center of the windshield works for me.

I've got mine centered towards the bottom. Works as long as the sensors are on.

You can put the pre pass in the sleeper and itll still get siginal unless you cover it wrap it into something or sit on it....... Ask me how i know?.. Hahaha.

But i was taking a pre pass to a driver in utah and as i crossed utah poe his pre pass that was in an envelope in the sleeper started beeping along with mine.

Maybe mine is messed up? I can put it under my leg or behind my back and it blocks the signal

My apologies to the OP for this tangent.

What kind of drive cam are you running? How well does it perform?

GoPro Hero+LCD. My wife got it for me. It's nice but I would have never spent that much.

I like the play back feature and that using the GoPro app I can view and adjust it thru my phone.

Downside is it won't loop even tho it's suppose to and it kinda gives you a fish eye type of view which can make things look farther away then they actually where.
