    HI. I got to get GPS tracker installed in one of the trucks. Looking for suggestions from experienced drivers who have used some of them before. Wanna make sure i get the one that works fine. Are there any GPS Trackers that works just on their one and does not need monthly membership? I have been told that Fleetmatics is a good one, but as far as i understand there is a monthly fee for using it.

    Any GPS trackers that are free from Monthly fee?
    Difference between them?
    Which one is most popular and the reason?

    I'm no expert on those big GPS tracking device, but the cheapest way is to buy a prepaid phone or device and you can track that phone just using the data you put on prepaid. That's the old school way and was used to track drones and small toys.

    Yea but phones can be "lost"
    Might be they have a problem driver and wants to install without driver knowing

    Look into the ELD 'pucks.' Not sure if anyone is subscription free, but it'll do what you want. I think most are in the $300 dollar range.

    So make it straight so we are small company and we hire truck driver to do the job. Life360 is very personal thing. I do not need to see where the worker personally located. All i need to know is where the truck is at.
