    I cook 120v hotplate and pots/pans. Also have microwave and a small fridge. All 120v. Used to do the 12v thing for cooking and cooling, but plugs getting hot enough to melt screams fire hazard to me.

    Yes same here, all my appliances are all 120 volt. ...I've seen mainly day cabbers using 12V DC like the little portable lunch coolers etc. But yeah I only use 120 volt for same reason, especially if your OTR like me out for several weeks. Also 12 volt stuff burns out faster
