The irony of it all in this is that ISP switched the paint job on their cars about 10 years ago to white from dark colors to avoid accidents like this.

They should paint them lime green and safety orange with lots of reflective tape like the squid bike jockeys.
NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
They SHOULD be black and white, just like God intended cop cars to be!
-
I like the garish colors so they can't hide.

Great. Only a matter of time before we have to give cops on the shoulder TWO lanes of room to strut around in, and thank them for their service as we crawl by.

Didn't MI have a pretty light blue color for their cars. I think Criminey Jade's idea is a perfect color for the cars.

Another grain truck flipped over in that area again, he was dodging a dog.

The annoying part is troopers these states like Indiana, Massachusetts, and others who have the "move over" laws also have a tendency to pull vehicles over around blind curves, even doing level 1 inspections on the shoulder, even sitting beyond curves and hilltops without lights going. Sure it's the responsibility for people to pay attention and get over or slow down for them, but it doesn't excuse LEO's pulling crap like that. These dates also need to restrict their DOT troopers from doing level 1&2 inspections on the shoulder of the highway, instead do those inspections in rest/ parking areas or weigh stations.
scottied67 and Yves kanevil Thank this. -

Hell, it as much of an officer safety issue as anything else. They either are poorly trained and dumb, or just plain dumb. CYA on roadside stops, just like on everything else.
