Back when radar detectors were legal in trucks, I put a brake light cut off switch on my truck. If you are running a radar detector at night, they will wait until you get right at them then they will cut that radar on. Obviously, it will setoff the bird dog and your first reaction is to mash the brakes. When theyd do that to me, Id flip my switch real quick then hit the brakes. My brake lights wouldnt come on so theyd keep going. If they ever seen you mash the brakes theyd come after you because theyd know you had a bird dog. Police and truckers have been playing games with each other for years lol

 

Quotas are a myth

 

No they're not.

 

We were paid to do our job. If that meant a certain number of contacts that is more than reasonable that is just our job. Every job has expectations by the employer. Our number of contacts was actually very low considering the shifts.

 

Interesting to know.

 

Waiting for "reasonable suspicion" to pull you over and jack you up. The locals ans state boys in my area pull this crap all the time. Edge to close to a line, on come the disco lights!
