Interesting. So you take what ever you want, board doesn't matter with you n the rest get what you don't want. OK. So I just call the agents! Ah.. Then they give whatever I want!! Now I get it, so THAT'S the "learning the system" everyone on here talks about... Wonder why Mercer wastes all that money paying all those coordinators. And board, certainly don't need that... Heck, may as well just call it Landstar...

No you misunderstand. The system has been explained here many times. Some loads "run" right away. Some may not "run" until the day of or the day before. But many will "run" once someone selects it. If your coordinator isn't calling you about a load 1500 miles from you that is running for next Friday is that his/her fault? Most of us don't depend on our coordinators because their hands are tied. I suppose you could get your coordinator to look 1500 miles from where you are.... Oh wait! Nope he can't see that far. Darn.

How long have you been @ Mercer? Because I can tell by this post there are a couple things bothering you. 1 you aren't making the money you want/need. 2 you are taking loads to areas where there are upwards of 50+ trucks already sitting there. Or maybe it's something else?!?!?!

I am going to explain the nature of the situation that I am referring to about the load out of Cali I jumped on 3 weeks in advance. This is something I NEVER do on here.....pay attention.

I look on the board in Cali, see an amazing load going to Florida. 1 I already know that the base it picks up on you absolutely MUST have a TWIC card. 2 I know the base I deliver to you can under no circumstances have ever been arrested or have any type of record. 3 you must have a fresh set of hours to pull the load (can't reset on the load)

If that doesn't help you understand why I got the load then I can't help you. You are either bitter about Mercer right now or you obviously don't know how to read between the lines. I understand what you are thinking/feeling. I was there once here @ Mercer.

You either learn from those on here who are willing to share information or you can go asphalt cowboy and be a dick for absolutely no reason. Either way I could honestly care less....because I just did something I never do and broke down my personal situation for YOU, the angry driver who wants to complain about the poor decisions you made here. Besides, don't you pull a flat? Pretty sure a door slammer just put this in perspective for you! You are welcome!

@ammjay part of me honestly thinks you didn't pick up on what I was explaining. The reason I got the load was because every truck hooked to a box in California either didn't have a TWIC card or had a criminal record. @CJndaTruck also explained another scenario that happens. That is actually how I got those $3/mile short runs today. Not understanding how it works here and getting upset will be the downfall, I'm speaking from 1st hand knowledge!
