Well no but it has to be a decent gig. Everything from baby formula and dog food and all it between in grocery stores are made by nestle.

Delivering to Nestle is like delivering to a prison.
The bunny likes him some hardcore security.

My apologies in advance for this vague answer. I've seen a lot of truck drivers from a lot of different companies and sometimes you know the "what it's like to drive for them" by just observing the individual, his/her truck, and the way he/she conducts themselves.

That being said, I ran in to a Nestlé guy in Streetsboro, Ohio the other night. Nice, clean late model Volvo with a newer trailer. Well spoken chap with a good demeanor, gave me a heads up about some construction in the area.

I hate to pass judgment, but the dude was too professional and courteous to not be happy with his job. Either that or he didn't know any better. :)

Your observation about individuals is on point, and I know you could ask the same of ten different people and get 10 answers.

Nestle has a couple different divisions. There's Nestle DSD, Purina, OTR and local.

Nestle Purina is beverage. Nestle OTR and Local involves Tractor Trailer. Nestle DSD is basically foodservice, delivering Nestle products like ice cream and frozen pizzas. I think sales is involved as well. OTR your out a week at a time and local I think is basically linehaul work. Pay use to start off at $19 an hour and it tops out around $23 after a couple years (I fogot how long it takes to reach top rate, I think it's 2-3 years). It could be around $24-25 an hour now.

Keep in mind this applies to the NE. Pay and job duties may be different in other areas.

    GwenP Thanks this.

I've mainly picked up at Nestle, mainly heavy water loads, but the driver above mention security is right on. Most my loads peeked out at gross around 79k
