Hello to everyone!
Well, I am a new grad that went to my first company after school that didn't work out so well.
I was let go from orientation because of driving test. I did not hit anything or run any stop lights
or signs. I knew out of school I still need to develop more and I brought this up to the company's
recruiters and their answer was don't hit anything and you will be fine.
My first lesson in this industry is there is a weed out process along with recruiters lie.
Does anyone know of a company that is helpful and friendly to new grads.
Maybe, this doesn't exist but a company that will develop a new grad on
a trainers truck than be quick to let them go. Assuming they don't have criminal issues or
drug issues of course. Which I do not.
Thank you in advance for your help in this industry.

Fresh out of truck school everyone needs more practice. Just get your apps out there, Swift, Knight, Covenant, Stevens....just start filling out the paperwork. You will find something.

I agree don't give up no new grad knows how to drive you were probably nervous which does not help your probably going to need to start at the bottom swift ,cr England ,knight , get your apps filled out and keep trying if it helps any I started at the bottom 5 years ago now I drive an 8 axle heavy haul truck I would try England you sound like you could use going with a trainer for a month or two. Good luck and don't hit anything.

If you're breathing Werner or CR England will hire you.

May and Roehl also take on noobies, also Watkins & Shepard I think, and they all have terminals in PHX.

The issue is, your driving skills need polishing. Some companies will do this if you tell them you need more instruction.
Pride Transport will give you additional training since you already have a CDL.
Same with James H. Clark & Son
Earl Henderson Trucking
Carolina Cargo
Submit some applications and make some calls to these companies.ShowinHisMercy Thanks this.
