I flip the switch about 1300 rpm's and let off the throttle one time to engage it. Usually right before the exit to the truck stop that is covered in snow. Next morning pull right out of my spot easy peasy while all the rookies are sit-spinning.

Yes, it seems most of them want you on time no matter how bad the weather maybe. -
Inter axle Diff = power divider. You can engage it at highway speeds as long as you're not spinning the tires:
Diff lock = axle locker. Slow speed use only:
The splitter is the thumb switch on the side of the shifter for splitting top gears on a 13 (also bottom gears on an 18 ). I guess you'd probably call it a splitter for a super 10 too... The Range selector is the larger switch on the front of the shifter used to alternate between low and high range.

JReding, DoneYourWay, allniter and 2 others Thank this. -
Yesterday and today I used both drive axles to get around, did about 60 miles on the freeway, left it engaged. When I got back to the customer's shop this evening, I could not get into the drive so I locked the diffs and drove right into the yard.
I think it is one thing that all people should know about, not just students.allniter Thanks this. -
If using the power divider during winter conditions put it in at the beginning of the season and dont take it out till spring break up or end of March.

I use mine on snowy roads, it's gonna such your fuel but it's better to be as safe as possible on bad road conditions, just make you are not spinning when you ingage it... Like I said it will use more fuel so you can choose fuel bonus or safe arrival

How does it effect your fuel?
