I always wondered if anyone did this at those coops that have the digital sign that shows you your axle weights...then the other night I saw a long nose Pete doing it. Anyone on here ever do that? Kinda like poking a hornets nest IMO.

If nobody is there and it's the closest scale, why not?

What's preventing someone from driving 45mph onto the scale and slamming on the brake?

I have done it several times, especially with oversized loads.

The cameras at the scale. I also know when close based on my air gauges.

Sometimes they have a gate and you won't notice it until it's too late. If I think I'm overweight, I'll go scale it as soon as I leave the shipper

i did it once in Florida when i was OTR; They don't have a digital sign outside, but they did leave the computers and screens on so you could see how much each axle was and total gross.

i don't know if they still leave them on.
