Just Curious about this one -
I work Commercial Vehicle Enforcement for the State Patrol. For over 20 years now I have heard the same story. When I stop a driver and he is OOS due to log book issues, drivers threaten to call the US Marshall to arrest me. This doesn't happen daily. Perhaps once every 6 months.
I'm curious how many drivers actually believe that if they are stopped, that it is the job of US Marshalls to come out and arrest State Troopers?
And how many can say with a straight face that they have been stopped by LE and had US Marshalls arrest them?
Over the years I've actually had a few drivers get in touch with the Marshalls. The Marshalls are either very confused or laughing hysterically by the time I speak to them.
Hopefully someone will get the word out there that unless I am a fugitive, the US Marshalls WILL NOT arrest me if I place you out of service for a log book violation.

Back when truckers had balls,
and went on strike,
u s marshalls would sometimes work security on the front lines.
That somehow started the whole line of bs about us marshalls being our saving angels.Trucker61016, NWAF, rholl32 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Oh the stories you hear sitting around the horseshoe.

Plus, if you get put oos for hos violation you deserved it. It'd take a subpoena to crack my books, and honestly I've found most LEOs to be good people just doing their job.
That being said, you see me out there @keitht you leave me alone, ya hear!

I guess the kind of driver that would call a Marshall to arrest a Trooper probably doesn't hang out much on Trucking Regulation forums.

While I've got the attention of a leo, lets address another issue... (not to hijack your thread) but dash trash...
