I currently am a smith driver. Georgia is a great freight area for us especially around Atlanta. Plus our terminal in ellenwood. You won't be sitting waiting for a load for sure.

Did you get a fairly new truck out the gate?

Got a 2008 Coronado at first then after a few months was upgraded to a 2011 cascadia. Not brand new but a good truck to make money with. So its hard to say, what they have available is what you'll usually get at first. But they'll ask what truck you want on day one. Let me know what you get my trucks 1968. See you out here and welcome to Smith!!!

I bumped into a smith transport driver at a Walmart near Raleigh last year. It was a Friday, and he was parking his truck there for the weekend. This was around 1 in the afternoon too. Said he has the whole weekend off, and gets home every weekend. He also said all of their trucks are APU equipped. Hope this helps.

You can either work 2 weeks and be off 2 days. Or be home every weekend but you have to work one weekend a month if you do that one. But you get 34 hours off on your off weekends.
