The politics forum

Must be just you. I'm seeing it listed on the Main Forum Page under Truckers & Politics.
And I logged into it with the password, and that works.

 

I was using PC with Firefox at first.
I now tried my phone (Android, Firefox mobile, no app) and I can see it on there also, but only when logged into TTR.

 

I have been having issues with it as well. Using Firefox myself. I go to "login" to the section and it just keeps booting me back to the login screen as if i just clicked it from the main forum section. Tried all 3 browsers and its doing the same for me. Emptied my cache and cleared cookies and still getting the same result. Going to try it from my mini CPU (transformer book) to see if I can get in there from there.

I also experience that behavior in the past on pc, BUT when it would take me back to the main forum page I'd click on Politics forum and it would then allow me in, instantly. (without asking for Politics password a 2nd time). Did you take it a step further and try that?

 

I may have not explained it as well as I thought. when it "takes me back" it goes from logging in to the "enter your un/pw section" again as if I did not enter it. It does not take me all the way back out to the main forum page. Sorry for the confusion.

I don't get it. It is as if there are some perimeters set for access to that forum besides the un/pw that I am missing... lol. One thing about vbulletin, there tends to be always some glitches somewhere.

 

The problem is with how the browser is set up. The browser doesnt realize that there is a new password required for the politics page (pw thickskin). So the browser tries to login with your account password. What should happen is that area should not let users auto login. Instead require anyone to visit to type in the password. Otherwise you will get the password error screen.

In some ways maybe the board shouldnt show the error screen yet dump the user to the login page for Politics (or where ever the user is trying to go as there are other forums that require a special password).
