I was at the Flying J in Effingham at like 2 in the morning and the fuel island was full, almost double stacked up on a few of them.
i've been there a few times during the day and it was busy too.
I didn't fuel I just grabbed a bite to eat but it was still busy
is that ever place not busy?
Is the Flying J in Effingham ever not busy?

that TS gave the biggest discount of all Pilot/Flying J in the country when I was a Tran Scam driver
TruckDuo Thanks this. -
It's at the crossroads of I-57 & I-70....both high traffic roads. But yeah...a busy, busy place. The T/A across the street stays busy 24/7 too. But it cracks me up...all these drivers that complain about Flying J / Pilot, yet they are ALWAYS busy.

Yup.
Almost always full unless its your lucky day. -
Try back on Christmas day, or maybe Thanksgivings.
It's always been a clustered duck in there. -

Every large and mid size trucking company who uses "fuel optimizer" routes trucks into the Effingham J for fuel 60% of the times through there. Most of the truckers fueling there aren't there by personal choice.

big parking lot, plus its a Flying J, so it has a deli -
It's not a bad truck stop as far as truck stops go, but if you need to fuel, the cluster f*** lines at the pumps one often has to sit through makes it not worth the lost time and general hassle getting into and out of the truck stop. Plus you can't pull up after fueling without blocking somebody in or risking getting a hood taken off.

OMG...you mean you REALLY...ACTUALLY pull forward after fueling???? That is becoming quite rare these days. Thank you for pulling forward.
