I think that has a lot more to do with age groups, than a blanket statement about new drivers... but also says a lot about our culture in general. I'm 53, and don't think it's all about me (although I'm a rookie)... but I will say, it's hard to trust anyone these days - so in some respect, it is all about me relying on myself, since I don't feel like I can rely on anyone else... especially another driver.

For example: I can't trust that the driver that dropped a sealed trailer, secured the load inside. I can't rely on the driver who dropped the trailer before me, to have cleaned / swept it out. I can't trust / rely on the driver that had the trailer before me, to get repairs done (because they don't have time to mess with it). If drivers would start leaving things the way they want them to be found (I do all of these things, with every trailer), I might start to feel like part of a 'brotherhood'.

But I digress... it seems, that's exactly your point! 8~/
