How does speed limiters equate to operating under the influence?

I think he's talking about how fast you can go with the dump up. 90 days suspension, what a joke should be revoked and ban

The 90 days is just during the investigation.
The actual sentence will be much greater, you can count on it, in Canada.

Nope. The loser will get his licence back and be allowed to make all us real truckers look bad.

Well, maybe not. He was under the influence, so his insurance will likely be null and void so he'll be on the hook for damages which he probably won't be able to pay. I wouldn't be surprised if he's on his way back to India right now.

It doesn't. And they don't make the highways any safer- was my point. But they are held in such high importance in Ontario while people who shouldn't have licenses are allowed to have them.

Third accident this week with a middle eastern driver. Maybe they are having trouble reading writing and speaking English. I guess stupid is stupid in any language.

Isn't it a Felony to drive under the influence, in Canada? That was my understanding, anyway.

We call them Summary or Indictable offenses instead of Misdemeanor or Felony offenses ... I had to look it up.

Wiki says this about DUI suspension periods:

"Ontario - 1 year for the first offence, 3 years for the second offence, and indefinitely for the third or subsequent offence. They may have to complete a remedial program before have their license re-issued. The driver will need to have an interlock device for a prescribed period of time."

This one has to be a permanent revocation case looking at the cost of the damages, not just to the structure but the supply chain flow - if it isn't, I'll be shocked.
