Has anyone heard about or studied at Alliance School of Trucking in Chatsworth, California? They offer 1 to 1 ration the guy said and i can go at my own pace. The other thing I liked is they took my GI Bill and if it was 70% they thats all they would take and not charge the difference. I want to know if anyone has gone there. I can not seem to find anything bad about them on the web but they are also not PTDI accredited. How do I know if they are legit or not? Any help would be great!

Ok so I found to more about Alliance today. I went down to check out the facilities and meet the staff. They are all prior service and veteran owned which struck a huge cord with me. I asked them a boatload of questions and they went of the 240 hour program with me. I was impressed. They are all one to one instruction and go at your pace. I am using my Post 9/11 GI Bill so as fast as I want to be done and once I pass each milestone I can progress. I am waiting for my approval from the VA to come back and am scheduled to start July 22. Wish me luck!

looking forward to hearing how it goes with Alliance. Most schools max out at 160 hours program from what I am seeing on the web. Did they say
what they would cover for the remaining 80 hours? More driving I assume which is good. Do they provide a vehicle and trailer for the CDL Test at DMV?. Just wondering. Thanks and Good Luck! -

During the training they also send you for your physical if you haven't gotten it ($30 with their doctor). They schedule your DMV appointments and yes you use their truck. I was told by the instructors and other students that you are in the truck day 1. Also you cannot move on unless you master the previous skill, but there is no charge for extension. I am excited. Hope all this information helpsDoneYourWay, californiatruckgirl and divercal Thank this. -
Awesome Reply !!! Thank you so much for providing that. Been looking at the Ca DMV CDL test requirements and this
school looks like it really trys to follow everything to match the requirements and then some. I guess it makes sense
to go to a Ca school that tailors the curriculum to the Ca CDL.
I look forward to any input you feel like providing as you progress through it and beyond.
Thanks again for taking the time to provide so much info. Good Luck and keep posting! -
Ok so I am starting Monday (July22) with Alliance School of Trucking. What is great is that it is one on one so they schedule your days however you want. With a 240hr training program it might take awhile but it will be worth it. I setup my schedule to go late afternoon to closing (3-6 MWF). I am trying to earn on the side as well as get ready to take some police tests and interviews. I really want to be in law enforcement but it has been my dream to drive a big rig since Smokey and The Bandit!. I am hoping that i can get my permit in the next two weeks and then have all my endorsements done as soon as I take my driving test. I was told that if I fail an endorsement even if I pass my CDL driving portion they will not issue my license. Anyone know if that is true in California?
Well I am excited and looking forward to my new journey. Stay tuned. -
Not to sure about them
