| I went through the Driver solutions/C1 school in Indianapolis, I answered a Pam ad in the local newspaper , but was refered to USA truck once I was there. I paid for lodging and my license fees up front but USA truck took the tution and my 1 year contract, I had a good time there and had a group of friends, who coming in didn't know each other, but as the class went on we study the pre-trip and went to lunch daily together. I graduated and went on to USA , finished my training there, 5 weeks because of a holiday, and got my 1st truck. I stayed with USA for 2 years, at the end of my contract year I received a check from driver solutions for almost $1100.00 in money that was over paided , as the payment plan is set at $45.00 a week deduction, it adds up to a whole lot more then the $995.00 I signed to owe for C1 school. C1 was a good place to get my CDL, they made sure I knew what I needed to know before I was sent to test. I also did my part before I went to school and got my state's book on the rules and requirement for a CDL and studied before going to the school, I was the only one in our class to pass all the written tests the 1st day and thus gave myself more time to practice pretripping the truck.

| 777lonewolf i'm sorry but i think u got bad information or something i just graduated from there last week. First off it is 1 week classroom then you start driving 2nd week. The 3rd week monday is fine tuning day then they test you on tuesday of the 3rd week to see where you need more training at or if you are ready to move on. I failed range on tuesday they practiced with me rest of day i retook range test wed morning and wed afternoon took state and failed driving but retook thursday and passed but c1 offered to retrain me for a day first but i turned them down. Now if you don't pass test of c1 they will not send you to state to take the test. Now at the end of the 3rd week you must have passed 2 of the 3 test to get a 4th week of training. I had never been in semi before this and i feel comfortable behind wheel now you get roughly hour a day driving time starting 2nd week on the street. PLus hour a day or more on range practicing. If you are having problems they will have you stay over and give you more training. I actually had problem with my instructor went in talked to them about it they got me switched to different one i loved this school i don't think i could have asked for better training anywhere people where overall very friendly helped me when i had questions and when i had problems with range they showed me what i was doing wrong thats how i learned to correct problem. Everyone's opinion of driver solutions C1 is just that opinion i not saying C1 or driver solutions is best for everyone but it was for me. NOw if you pay cash you don't have to go with no company there where 2 people in my class of 30 who paid cash they where going with different company then driver solutions offered but there tuition was only 3995 good deal in my opinion seeing how my local community college charges 4400. Now Pam and Usa is main company's they try to put you with but if something goes wrong then they normally fall back on swift or one of them. I did see few people get dropped by pam for medical reasons but they got picked up by swift. When i left out of 30 people 2 went home for personal reasons death in family but both said they where coming back to restart the course. Out of the 28 left i had probably 12 graduate and pass state before me. I did call and check on friend i made there and he said everyone else but 5 have or 6 now have passed. I can honestly say if you fail at C1 you would fail anywhere in my opinion they give you every option to pass they don't get paid if you don't get cdl and go on to be first seat driver. They are very up front about this day 1. THEY DO NOT TRAIN YOU TO BE TRUCK DRIVER THEY TRAIN YOU TO GET CDL YOU WILL LEARN TO BE TRUCK DRIVER WITH YOUR COMPANY OVER THE ROAD DRIVER TRAINING. Sorry you had bad experience but i would recommend you didn't tell people not to go i not telling people to go i just telling them of my experience there out of respect you should do same just tell them what you didn't like but everyone must make there own opinion thank you. I have heard something negative about every training company out there espically swift but i considered them when i was getting into this profession. Once again thank you to all if you are considering C1 in indy i liked it you may or may not if you want they will show you around and you can walk away from school first 6 days without being locked into contract. |

Apparently his instructor was always telling the class what a bad a he was and how he nailed everything that walked instead of teaching the class. |

| Well i don't know about getting stuck with the whole bill thing. I got contract and it plainly states you can walk away in first 6 days and not owe the tuition bill you have 6 days to change your mind. All i was saying is one bad's bad expierence is opinion not that school sucks just like i had great time there and thats my opinion. Thats all i was saying it shoudln't tell someone else not to go just tell them about your experience and let them make up there own mind thats all. |
