Hiding money, and telling the share holders they loss money is a federal crime. You rookies know crap about business. Ever heard of Enron?

Ya, they have been pulling a lot if gimmicks since 07 to hang on. But they're running out if gimmicks. Selling terminals and leasing them back, splitting stick prices bought them some time. But still no profit.

I'm sure you ate busy. YRC was able to cut rates, and undercut companies like ABF. But you can't run cheap freight, and make money. That's what CF did. Where are they now?

Btw, those banks paid back all the bailout money.

Let's get something straight. CF routed their freight through their sister company Conway. That is why they went out of business. They wanted to. I worked for CF when it happened and lost my job because of it. They did it to get out of the union. They are just called Conway now and have no union.

    Crazy37,
There is a difference in what should be real and what is real.

When I worked at CWF they showed many many anti-union videos. Telling us how bad the union is and how they put CEX out of business. I have spoken to some of the senoir drivers and they all HATE con-way freight. BEcause of what they did to CF. Guessing they had friends working for them. Our main union guy(what ever he is called, only comes in every so often and hes above the stewards) hates the fact we purchased USF. He thinks they did that to pull what CF did. He even says they shouldve never bought roadway either. Now I NEVER worked for either Yellow or Roadway, I constantly hear trash talking about the other companies, this one screwed this up or this one did this. But I also hear MANY GREAt things about each company as well. I dont get in the middle of that. There are a few guys who really dont care about the whole merge.

Well I just got off a 14 hour day of p/d Barely made the 14 hour rule but it all worked out.

    Lol, whatever cowboy. Lame hyperbole's.

Ya? So? Fact is YRC isn't making a profit, you don't want to believe that, and have to make up baseless conspiracy theory's.

Man. This thread is quickly getting hijacked into something other than what it was started for. Wish you guys would stop flaming each other and focus more on providing your personal experience with the companies under the YRC umbrella. I for one am proud to drive for Reddaway. Doesn't matter what I do, I will not and can not affect the things that go on in corporate level.

    ACH1130 Thanks this.

Very well said. None of us can do anything but continue to show up to work everyday and cash our checks every week. Hopefully the troll has found another rock to hide under

I kinda thought the same thing when they bought Reddaway. Then I started thinking Reddaway is to small. Of course they could always expand it but they are under the YRC umbrella so I don't see how they could actually get away with it. If they kept Reddaway separate then they could have done a CF, out west anyway. One thing seems sure, they want the union gone and it seems they are willing to go under if they don't get what they want. In 1997 I worked the dock at Roadway and it was a really good job. I only did a little driving here and there but it was a lot of fun working there. They ended up closing that terminal and I couldn't transfer cause I was a casual. See my luck with union companies. CF, Roadway and Yellow. 3 strikes, you're out!

As far as them gripping, I think they just don't like being taken over by someone else. They have to follow different rules. I have to say that Reddaway does it almost completely the same as Yellow did it in 2007. Maybe Roadway did things different and they don't like the new system? I know the Overnight drivers were really angry after UPS took over and I heard the same with Watkins when FedEx bought them. Who knows, everyone has a different reason why they hate their job. I must say YRC is pretty close to perfect for me. If I had a bid run it would be a lot better. Of course if all Reddaway yards had the teamsters in there it would be 100%

True. All we can do is hope YRC keeps climbing out of this hole and we keep getting a paycheck. I have faith they will make it. Things are looking up.
