Highway diesel prices dipped less than a cent to an average $2.787 per gallon, down by only $0.003 for the week. Compared to the Energy Information Administration’s data for the same week last year, the change was up a miniscule $0.123, reported thetrucker.com.
New England’s average prices held level, while both the Gulf Coast and Rocky Mountain regions saw prices nudge upward by half a penny, averaging $2.738 and $2.825 respectively. Remaining regions saw slightly lowered averages, including California’s slight drop of one cent. Drivers there paid an average of $2.954 per gallon, lower for the week but still 34.9 cents higher than this time last year.
