Just days after a spike in freight volumes that had some businesses hoping that the post COVID-19 rebound had already begun, the freight volume in the spot market took a hard plunge. Not only that, but nationwide outbound freight volumes are down as well. And experts are warning that they may have much further to fall.
Freight volumes and rates have been incredibly volatile since the end of February. But by the end of March, monthly averages were actually looking pretty good in some segments of the industry. Since then though, things have taken a turn.
According to DAT Solutions, truckload freight volumes dropped significantly last week. The available spot loads in their DAT load board network – the largest in the industry – dropped by 39%. Not only that, but national rates per mile have fallen off of their March averages. Despite seeing a significant spike last month, even reefer rates are down.
For some owner-operators, the future is looking uncertain.
“I am basically shut down,” Independent O-O Timothy Barrett told Overdrive. “I can go broke two ways: Hauling for nothing or not hauling. I’m not going to [run loads] and exchange money for fuel and drive the truck for free.”
He normally hauls automotive parts and loads for concerts and live events, but both sectors have been hit hard by COVID-19 closures. Now he’s had to take a part-time job at Walmart to make ends meet.
It’s not just O-Os who are facing tough times ahead. The ATA has warned that even large carriers will likely have to lay off workers as freight volume declines.
“Uncertainty is skyrocketing. Forecasting is difficult enough to begin with, let alone when we’re in unprecedented times,” ATA chief economist Bob Costello said according to Freightwaves. “One thing we do know, though, is we’re in a recession, the second quarter is going to be terrible.”

Even my company that does business mainly in overseas containers is becoming more diverse by adding work from local grocery chain warehouses that are busy as hell right now. I think companies just need to keep adjusting to the changing climate. Always good to have a backup.

Truckers need to stop being cowards and STRIKE.
Or truckers will never receive respect.
Gail Morra says
Now’s the best time ever to do it. Put those brokers in their place once and for all. Shipping & receiving warehouse need to get rid of low bums in warehouses pay a decent hourly wage to motivate loaders to kick up those heels and start working. Get rid of smug sales and crummy backstabbing dispatchers. Overhaul the whole system. Then, you will get respect.

What is wrong with you. Now is not the time. The time to strike is when they need you. Of course you won’t do that. If you did it now no one would even know. You would not have support.

you don’t strike when times are bad. your advice dosen’t hold water

We are already at home ….
Robert Ramelow says
Thats literally the most foolish idea I have ever heard. A strike would play directly into the mega carriers hands. Do you think for one second Swift, JB Hunt, Knight ect would strike? Organize a new union before you offer an idea’s of striking. Or better yet, keep your foolish ideas to yourself.

One day, the majority of the population will finally discover economic disasters can be handled much better, when Americas wealth is more evenly distributed. It cost Americans in the end, with all the rescue packages, so why not limit the damage that will come? Economic challenges are inevitable, though cause can be surprising. America took a $1.7 trillion tax cut to accelerate growth that was already occuring…that truly benefitted the wealthiest mostly. That economic boost started losing steam months ago and now…

Oh. You mean socialism?
Where you get what I built?
Just because you have no insight as to how to get wealthy?
Here is a financial tip.
Get off your rump and start a business. The decide if you wish to share that wealth with people who refuse to work.

My father owned 4 very successful businesses. His advice to me was, “son I didn’t get what I’ve got by giving money away.”
If you we are going to make money in this industry then drivers have got to quit hauling cheap freight. Brokers are going to low ball us every time. Yeah, we may sit, but if cheap freight doesn’t move prices will go up. We are hungry today but tomorrow the broker is hungry too.

Jon M. Wow…congrats for your well deserved wealth. You’re so great, smart and deserving.

I’ve worked as hard as anyone and I’ve owned several trucking business. But someone always finds a way to tax, beg or steal it away from me. It’s called greed and I don’t care how frickin smart you think you are greed can hold you down. Call it socialism if you like but I call it taking back what was stolen from me.
A K M says
Thank you, Jon. No one deserves what you built or earned. If you distribute the wealth evenly, the hard workers will quit working hard! Why should they? The others get what you get for sitting on their butts! Socialism has failed everywhere!!!
Gail Morra says
Good point. Not sure if he was going truly down that path. But there are plenty that believe they’re entitled to your wealth. How dare you! Lol

It goes both ways, the rich execs get paid to do a whole lot of not much and then play golf but they can’t do it without the hard work of the operator’s, the clerk’s, the guy taking out the trash and mopping the floor. So why should I be working hard 160hrs a week so some jack was in Dockers and penny loafers can play golf and do nothing?
Thomas Wynn says
Thank you for speaking the Truth!
ziff says
Guess it depends who you are my taxes went up because i can no longer deduct work expenses as an employee an my carrier doesn’t offer per diem raises my taxable income 20k. Which raised my student loan payments 4k a year. No increase in pay just decreases in deductions leading to increased liability.
T.D. says
Ziff: I used TurboTax small business this year. Yes, they changed the deductions, and with TT it’s a pain-in-the-butt to get the “daily-away-from-home” deduction. Checked with my tax attorney, the deduction IS still legal, just no easy way to enter it. I think my accountant snuck it in under “Misc”. Made all the difference in the world… changed “I owe them $977” to “they owe me $3741”.

Ann L Walter says
You can deduct work expenses. It’s just not a standard deduction anymore, you have to itemize

Wth are you talking about? The elite have people like you so confused you don’t make sense. Wealth redistribution means the top percent keep less so some the middle and the bottom can earn more. Why should executives make millions while the worker earn minimum? This has nothing to do with taking from you. Your comment is selfish, ignorant and what is wrong with this world. Me, me, me.
Jouck says
Well said . Every person working a 40 plus hour job is very important to the country . Maybe the back bone of America will be recognized through this pandemic. The wealth should be spread more evenly.
Ken says
I disagree, if I work 70 hours and make a thousand, and you work 40 hours and make a thousand, , that don’t sound fair at all , does it ?
John Grube says
Who’s fault is it, that you make less? Apparently you’re not as valuable in the marketplace.
Karl says
I don’t know ask a lawyer?
Gail Morra says
Big Mistake! Their the ones who take your money and leave you stranded holding a suitcase.
Jessica Navarro says
Of course it does because it’s all about the value you deliver. If I spend 40 hours developing something that will make life easier like let’s say the IPhone and you spend 40 hours peeling potatoes, sorry but there is no comparison and the person who invented or developed the iPhone deserves every penny.
Andrew Eldritch says
I work 55 and take home a thousand. That is not wealth, that’s a living wage. I live comfortably, but I am nowhere near wealthy!
Tammy Reesman says
That’s right 70 hrs ,away from home and family to feed ,cloth people who has no clue ,what it’s like working out here.

Without the wealthy and greed, those willing to take the gamble and grow business, jobs would not be created. You have never owned a business I’ll wager. Show some balls and see if you can and try to hire people. You can’t see the forest for the trees.
Chuck Clamon says
I agree you have to work very hard and be very skillful to make it to the top….also has anyone ever received a paycheck from the poor.
Andrew Eldritch says
No, just a drain on my taxes for paying their welfare checks!
dianne says
We the poor as you call us are just as important as you…and if it weren’t for the little guy breaking his or her back you wouldn’t be making your money …it all goes round and round??? Yeah we would be nothing with out the jobs but you would also be nothing without your profit so if it wasn’t for the blue collar workers you would be nothing??? See how that works??? No common sense is what you have!!! Stop acting like you are better because you have money….your not better… you just have more money💩 so just stop being so arrogant!
Greg says
Exactly!
Jay says
Most of those wealthy and greedy you are talking about have never worked a day in their life. They were handed money from daddy or mommy and used it to steal money from others.
E says
Each individual needs to take care of themselves. The reason we get in this mess is because we think we need those things. that we do not actually need. When I am able to take care of myself, I have more to give to help others who are trying to “help” themselves.
We have big houses, big cars, satellite TV, designer dress shirts, etc. Etc. And even though yes that helps the economy, It’s times like this if we get a wake-up check.
Live below your means and help others if you are so inclined. But don’t require of me to Put my money where I do not want.
Red says
Lmao, I like all the “if you want wealth just get off your butt and go get it” comments. Are you serious with that crap? The top 1% are some of the laziest people on planet Earth. They come from money & go out with money – all earned on the hard-working backs of America’s blue-collared workin’ folk…plain & simple. That’s the modern American dream; pool your money with other rich folks, buy someone else’s dream built by real blood, sweat, & tears and sit back and count the money when it comes in. That bottom line is praised more than God himself! Oh, and talking about the “unfairness” of “spreading-the-wealth”… Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon, is worth a mind-boggling $124 billion as of today! When markets are doing real good it’s closer to $300 billion. That’s literally $999,999,999 + $1 rolled over & repeated 124 more times! Can you imagine your bank account balance looking like $124,000,000,000.99 ? Yeah… only Americans would let one man hold that much piece of the pie just for himself. That’s an insane amount of power!
Greg says
So you think we should limit how much money one person can earn?? You sound jealous..I would guess you are nowhere as educated as Jeff Bezos. I’m not either but I’m not crying because he is worth so much more $$.should he and others like him give to help those in TRUE need..sure! But shouldn’t be forced to give..
Jay says
No, dont limit how much one man can own, just force the greedy bastard to pay his employees a decent wage.
Gail Morra says
Bezos started from a small online business that created amazon. I bet the people who invested made out like bandits.
MW says
Dude
I’ve met some of the 1%
You wouldn’t call it “work”
But they sure as hell ain’t lazy
How the hell you think they got rich to begin with.
I know one dude

Never really has had a vacation in decades.
So I think the ones you’re talking about are the trust fund kids

I am with you Brother, I parked my Truck 3 years ago and Drive for a small company now. They treat me like I am family and I make between $1500 – $2000 weekly. I have now worries!
Dedicated Freight LLC says
I’m thinking about doing the same thing.
Randy says
As usual truck drivers are payed and treated like crap. Companies see an opportunity to pay trucking companies nothing to have their freight pulled down the road.

Try to find something recession proof
I noticed that in the last recession, some people were destroyed and lost everything
Some people were impacted to a lessor degree and some people weren’t affected at all
My wife and I both professionally drive
Thank God both of our industries are considered essential
So in addition to empty interstates and plenty of work, we are actually making $2 more per hour thru at least May

Which government agency do you think will emplement that program?
How much do you think you would donate to the political party that would vote for this.
Ricardo Worthen says
It didn’t benifit enough people is the point
Tony says
Well never posted anything but here’s my two cents worth our taxes will go up cost of living will go up because if you thank the government is going to give you something and not get it back you need to think again if they had all this money to give away ask yourself this why was we paying so much to begin with
Tom says
The Government just printed this money 7.2 TRILLION and counting, with nothing to back it up. Can you say MEGA INFLATION.
David says
If there are any O-O’S out there hurting for work at this moment Warren Transport is still hiring and running strong. They mostly handle RGN, Flat, and Dry Box freight. 3 largest contracts are Caterpillar, John Deere, and Carrier A/C. Due to COVID-19 causing a lot of companies to slow down and trucks to shut down, many dry goods and non-hazmat companies are shifting to give freight to trucking companies that are active and strong. Since COVID-19 I have seen a profit loss but I still take money home because I work my butt off.
David Rank says
Is this another large carrier ploy¿

The tax cut didn’t benefit me at all. zjust a massive hand out to the rich.
Andrew Eldritch says
I’m a company driver, dry van, my take home went up and I got more back at the end of the year after the tax cut. Don’t know what you’re talking about, it benefited me just fine, another $200 a month on my take home, and an extra $1000 on my tax refund compared to the previous 5 years!
Juan says
Amen
Jerry says
20k a year? What you only work one week a month?
David Rank says
Well as an o/op my taxable annual income is less than 20k as I gross over 150k.
Pretty standard for 100% self employed!
Rob says
$20k a year as an I/o? You’re either a company leased equipment driver, or you are doing something very wrong. I can net 10-15k in a month. Smh
Kelly says
Im curious, how can you qualify for credit with such a low “income”? Thats the thing about per diem too, it leads to less verifiable income.
why would you want less social security when you retire, less verifiable income for credit and loans, less unemployment benefits- just to save a few bucks in taxes?
kenneth says
well the “imported truck drivers ” will haul the cheap frieght as some of the Russian companies can bypass a few of the expenses that are made having to run legal (insurance legal cdl drivers and drivers training will be subsidized by the guys trying to do it right …… this will be worse than it was in 08 hopefully it will pass with just a month or 2 and get back on track fortunately I dont have a truck payment or house payment to worry about if it stays in the dumpster for longer
ArTee says
This tax cut did me no good, either.
For the first time ever, I’m not getting a tax return, but paying the feds.
Donna says
Same here with feds but the state of Pennsylvania owe me a refund but just says they don’t know why they haven’t issued it from 2018
Zane Turner says
The tax cut only made money for the wealthy just like every other tax cut in the past. This tax cut has been the worst of all because it took away deductions and like others I ended up owning taxes instead of getting a refund with no other changes in my income except for the loss of deductions .
Andrew Eldritch says
B.S.! You’re doing something wrong! After the tax cut, my take home went up $200 a month, and at the end of the year, I ended up with $1000 more on my refund compared to my refunds for the previous 5 years. I’m a company driver pulling dry vans, my annual wage before tax is $67,000.
Boomer says
The reason most of you are paying more taxes is because you’re making more money even with the tax cuts you’re going to pay more taxes if you make more money need to learn how to manage it. dont forget your log book daily weight off went up most drivers dont even know about this it covers all of your road expenses and then some.
Ken says
If your paying more taxes after the tax cut, then you are a moron. And if you can’t write off expenses then you need a better account. They shouldn’t let fools drive trucks. I made 90k last year Not even an owner operator.
Andrew Eldritch says
Same here, although I don’t make $90k, I make 67k. My take home went up $200 a month, and I got back $1000 more on my refund than the previous 5 years!
Royce says
When you bought that pile of debt, liabilities ,and expense, you expected different? Silly amatures.
Joseph Brian Dowdell says
Our freight has slowed up a little but we are still running strong and we are a small family trucking company with only 50 trucks
Andrew Eldritch says
Our company has 400, we’re still going strong too. Hauling mostly paper loads myself right now. Normally run team on a dedicated route hauling body panel stampings to a Toyota plant, but they’re shut down ’til May 4th. Our company also happens to be owned by Toyota, it’s a subsidiary of Toyota Tsusho Group.
Lester says
You’ll always have plenty of freight if you haul it cheap enough. Go ahead haul for nothing, get the volume up. Go broke twice as fast.
Jay says
You can go broke hauling for nothing or go broke staying home. Take your pick.
Orlando says
The virus has nothing to do with the downfall of the economy, the virus is a cover up, economies around the world are all bankrupt, people are broke, if we don’t have money to spend the economy goes down and that’s exactly what’s happening, most businesses are closed because they are forcing the economic collapse on us, after that we will get the new world order and digital money, get ready is going to be a bumpy ride.
Mark says
I agree Orlando

Truckers work hard there job is dangerous and in this sad time we should look at them as heroes down the road…I am making masks for my trucker friends by Monday we will have 100 made and given to a company my son works for ,so be glad they are still rolling or toilet paper wouldn’t be the only thing you would be without.GOD BLESS OUR TRUCKERS MAY THEY STAY SAFE .
Robert E Scott says

Coyote says
All illnesses including heart disease etc. are labeled covid-19
Michael says
I like your response better. The economy was hurt already. Coronavirus just spoiled the economy bubble early.
Shomari says
Hmmmm, interesting theory
Andrew Eldritch says
B.S.! The economy was fine until people couldn’t go to work! I’M still working, being a trucker means, if you want to work, it’s out there, just go get it. I did 3200 miles last week, I’ve got plenty of money in the bank, I buy what I need, even some things I just want. Anybody whining about being broke just doesn’t have the drive (no pun intended) to just get out there, and JUST DO IT!
Buccaneer says
Orlando is right on.
Darren says
So right….
Greg says
Well you’re partly right.
But the covid 19 is real. That is pushing the economy over the cliff..
Jay says
You watch too much Fox News.
Wally says
Too many people influenced by talking heads on the television and the news. People need to educate themselves and learn for themselves. The country could have the best health care system in the world. The best education system in the world, the best factories and lifestyle in the world. Instead, people waste their precious time arguing about politics and red vs blue, while nothing changes. The whole political system is a game, a lie. The people of this country need to turn off the tv and put down all of the information that is just other people’s opinions, and start working together. Until that happens, things will stay the same. No politician is going to fix American’s lives. The idea that a political figure is the answer is itself a lie.
Dianna says
Agreed!👍
Eric Jones says
I agree
Pavan Williams says
Your comment makes the most sense! People working together is the key. Instead you have an abundance of ignorance, greed and self centered behavior. Don’t worry…they will wake up and realize one day…hopefully, before it’s not too late!

Roadawg 6364 says
Amen to that, very well said, I learned a long time ago, do not listen to tv or lying social media.

Karl says
Never happen not even trains are fully autonomous.
Andrew Eldritch says
THAT’S decades away! Not going to happen in my lifetime, probably not yours either! So it is not even a consideration at this point in time!
Blue Stormz says
Yea, but how could you even think about participating in controlling the rates. That would raise the produce rates and other perishables as well.
Going the autonomous route would be the same way as the Dodo Bird…
Extinct ! Jobs are disappearing fast enough, we sure as crap don’t want
To make it easier to replace humanity with a machine. No machine can match a humans ability, to function on so many different levels consecutively.

It is not greed, it is hazard pay. Run a load through a blizzard that has to get there tomorrow no matter what. Is that gonna fly at the 14 day average? If you want to hear the truck had a weather shutdown maybe. But if you want that driver to get that load in no matter what- then it’s going to cost you.
Like these loads should cost more.
A blizzard risks your life, a pandemic risks your life. If we are supposed to run we should not be running for the same undervalued rates that gave infected our markets with the influx of .25cpm student drivers.

It’s not greed when you are trying to recoup the losses you have sustained over the past year most of us have suffered. Not to mention the risks to the virus we take. Not only have we lost money. Our equipment has taken a nose dive in value. You don’t sound like a driver you sound like a transportion manager trying to get your freight moved for gratis.
Gail Morra says
Bury brokers!
No more Crooked Brokers! says
Your not a driver. Your a Lying, coniving, greedy broker trying to make sense of all the lies you have told to drivers and short changed all year long and now you are feeling the hurt because no one (truckers) is willing to take freight or take your lies anymore for free. Be an honest fair broker and you could be a better person for it and possibly succeeded in the business. But join the lying thieving majority and you will hopefully go down in the hard times…I believe all OO will gain from this in the end. We are the only ones that can say no more running for free just to get to a better so called Lane in the country…it’s bullshit… no matter where it’s coming from or going. It’s should be minimum $2.50 per mile truck load no matter where you are. Then broke down or increased from there depending on the equipment needed. We have the equipment and take all the risks. No broker should ever make more than 10% of any O/O freight or load we Carry. Thanks for reading and please respond!

No, we’re just trying to go from being severely underpaid, to being paid just enough to reach the poverty level. When I average out my income vs “real” hours worked, it comes to about $2.14 per hour. This is one of the few jobs where you work 70 hours a week, and not be eligible for overtime.
Bigdee says
It’s crazy how we can talk the way we do to eachother but we don’t show tha passion towards these crooked politicians every industry go on a rollercoaster ride just hang in there we will weather the storm hopefully we can get rid of some of these brokers and get better rates
Keith says
Uuuhh hello!!!!!!! Remember that little part about thinking outside the box and not being led. Well here is where no inity failed us big time. However no time for bickering, pointing fingers, passing the blame. I believe life is teaching us a valuable lesson right now. No matter where we are from and what we look like, Truckers are brothers at the end of the day. Humanity & Equality First. We just have to keep rolling be mindful of each other and do better.

I love this paranoia BS keep it up people I deliver pallets of milk to the major chains in the San Francisco Bay Area my business is booming I haven’t made this much money in years with all the overtime and it’s not going to stop because people still need to eat and they still need their Dairy these Trucker’s just got in the wrong business
Jay says
That’s it, I quit drinking milk from now on.
KirkAnthony Rad says
ok did you think trucks would be full with everybody home ! Dont panic, take a breath.
Jeremy M says
I remember Trump’s tax reform and its effect on truckers when it was presented. To me,it was clear trucking companies influenced the whole thing in regards to the trucking industry. Slashing meal allowance for company drivers was designed to get company drivers to go O/O. This shifts an enormous amount of overhead from the trucking companies onto the driver. Those who’ve been around are well aware of the scam which is the “never-never lease op” program offered by trucking companies that’s decades old. Good O/O deals disappeared in the mid 1980’s.
Andrew H says
I’m an overnight linehaul driver for a local LTL carrier, and just the past few days my Freight volume halved. I get paid the same regardless of what’s in the box but I feel bad for the day delivery guys who have nothing to deliver and have to go home. It’ll get worse before it’ll get better.
Rob M says
I’m one of those day side P&D guys. We started doing a 2 driver a day off rotation, so every 2 weeks I get shorted a full day. And hours on the working days are definitely way down. Its going to be a tough go, since we lost my wife’s income during this now as well, and unemployment isn’t even close to her salary.
Jeff says
I’m parked, bounced back from Lansing mi, to St. Louis Monday. I won’t haul 1.21 a mike loads.
Jay says
Same here, parked it Monday and not tearing my truck up for fuel cost. I can go broke at home or go broke driving around the country. I prefer home and it’s not because I’m lazy.
Me says
Or I inherit five millions dollars, put it in the market for the working people to borrow and never have to work again. Oh… and neither will my kids.
If capital gains were taxed fairly, there would be no national debt. That is the real problem with the sytstem.
Steven John Aurand says
Why are people worrying about deductions when you get $24,000 worth automatically. You can’t eat and wash that much. Only the owner operators with mega repairs are affected.
MarkoM says
So OO let’s all park the trucks stop paying the bills untill the big guys realize they need us and start appreciating our time spent away from our kids while serving others….cheers
Jessica Fuentes says
Wishful thinking @markom
Mike says
The point of truckers the whole “parking it movement” is to have the effect similar as to what’s occuring now.
If people aren’t working, that means they arent buying, which means you arent hauling the items there, which means….. You aint hurting the big guys by not being there right now.
Truckers need to make their move for better treatment when demand is high not when its beginning to sink like the Titanic.
jmannyor says
The demand is low the offer is lower, only the big carriers will survive, and the rest of us well be a total slaves again working for food, not a good thing… a new global order, control, conspiracy???
Larry Underdal says
I’ve fallen and can’t get it up. Lol
Thomas Snipes says
The freight brokers are padding their pockets since fewer loads and they can pay less.
Scott B Kribs says
I’m still working for now, but freight has slowed down. We will see what happens in the face of uncertainty.
Octavio says
It was bad as it is, now we’re reaching bottom
Robert Millsaps says
Guess what folks! Plan for a rainy day, week, or year. If everyone lived within their means this would not be a big deal. I run when the money is good and do other jobs when it’s not. Why does everyone think working in one profession is supposed go be the end all?
Jay says
You forgot one detail, the whole country is shutting down to a trickle. That don’t leave much for us to do even outside of trucking.
MICHAEL says
BOOM, CAN’T ARGUE WITH THAT!
David Tyler says
It’s getting rough out here ! Rates are down but you can still make money ! And always have a rainy day fund ! It’s going to get real bad! Count on it ! Soon I may shout my rings down !
DEW says
So, it’s either car parts during a recession where people are less likely to buy a car and concerts – because that’s essential – or WALMART?! There are other things to haul. Who brainwashed him into believing THOSE were his options? A part time job at Walmart as a solution is like going out an getting drunk or high as a solution. Sounds like his solution is just some form of self-destructive resignation. There are STILL a lot better options!
Kaiyla says
OO working at WalMart. Sounds more like OO doesn’t know how to operate their business and shift it in a direction where he is still working.
Luis claudio Pereira says
Now just pray
Thomas in McDonald says
Well the rights were already low fuel prices are down so the surcharges nonexistent which after they changed it to the 70 hours they stop having money to pay us the mechanics the diesel shops we loaned all our cash flow they don’t have any money anyways so we’re already.I promise there won’t be no federal money and bank money for us will have to scrape by by helping our customers that don’t have any money until they can come up with some and 70% of them never come back and pay even though you known him for a long time because they don’t have it I hope when it’s over rates go through the roof
Riatonon says
They want the poor to pay taxes so the rich don’t have to by finding loopholes and the rich keep opening business and they make it difficult for the poor to open a business or maintain it by doing what they are doing right now breaking small businesses and making large businesses profit. They’ll keep stealing our taxes and will now force everyone to go into debt and soon steal alot of people’s homes too. Trucking is the same way right now like others said you have to adjust and Transport the now adapt to survive. They’re going to use the virus situation we just have to be wise to the rich’s tactics.

The only truckers that will be hurting are all of you that have the attitude “if my wheels are turning I am earning” cheep trucking will get you a driving job with Swift!!!
FloridaRigDriver says
I, for one am grateful to be a trucker going through this than a factory worker or service industry worker. I spend 4 weeks out at a time and drive for a great small trucking company and am enjoying some extra time off in sunny Florida. Long live trucking!!!!

And all in the name of a flu Virus that’s yet to reach and significant number of WW deaths!! Total deaths are significantly lower WW than deaths per year in America alone!! I smell a NWO takeover in the coming days! It’s going to take YEARS to recover from such a bogus situation!!
T.D. says
Have you checked the stats on CDC??? Over the last four months, average death rates have DROPPED 15-18% LESS than any average over the last four YEARS. If things are so bad, how is this possible?
Earl B Putnal says
No. If we drive and work for 70 hours? And someone works and drives for only 40 hours? And get the same paycheck? That’s not the fair and equal payer system. One person shouldn’t get the same pay? And get to work less hours? Fair and equal pay? Means exactly what it means.
Greg says
Nobody twisted your arm to drive for the company you work for. Sounds like you need to change employers

Chuck says
The freight will move and company executives will try to cut cost due to lack of projected profits by cutting the freight cost . This is not the freight haulers fault and they should not allow these companies to throw the loss at the trucking industry. Refuse to haul the freight if they can not pay the rate. The truck driver is not the welfare system for failing companies.
Nick says
Its hard work and you will get rich LOL the vast majority of working people will never get rich or even close to it. As the old saying goes behind every great fortune there is a great crime you just have to be smart enough to find it. Since the planned extermination of labor unions the middle class has all but disappeared well the vast majority of wealth has been pushed to the very top thanks to our leaders from both parties a few weeks off from work and long lines all over the country at food banks yes the economy was great for the few at the very top and a allusion for most Americans that do work hard. Do you really think a man worth a billion dollars works a billion times harder then everyone else LOL. Its capitalism for workers and socialism for business don’t worry if we make bad decisions and enrich our share holders and top executives the public will bail us out we wont have to worry about picking ourselves up by our boot straps that only for those dopes.
