Trucker Tools announced a partnership with Samsara to allow drivers & carriers to use the Samsara ELD to digitally track loads via Trucker Tools’ real-time freight visibility software. The one-click integration can be activated via the App Marketplace & in-transit data is transmitted from the ELD to the software. Trucker Tools’ CEO, Kary Jablonski, says, “This partnership helps brokers meet shipper visibility KPIs & accommodate driver/carrier preferences around digital load tracking technology. For truckers & carriers, it’s about convenience & automation; tracking starts & continues automatically until turned off by the trucker.”

Trucker Tools maintains 90 integration partnerships with leading ELD providers, the newest being an ELD integration partnership. Sean McGee, VP of product at Samsara, said, “end-to-end freight visibility benefits everyone in the supply chain.” The collaboration with Trucker Tools allows freight brokers and 3PLs to accommodate ELD freight tracking. Jablonski added that freight broker customers who combine ELD-integrated and app-based load tracking with the Trucker Tools app achieve tracking success rates above 90%.

The Trucker Tools mobile app (launched in 2013) is available for Android and Apple smartphones and is provided free to independent truckers and small fleets.
